Only fly in the ointment are the low beams in bedrooms - could cause problems for people with disabilities. Otherwise excellent.

Great for families. Spotlessly clean, well equipped for a young family. Lovely warm welcome, everything we needed for a short break. Nice welcome in pub too, we enjoyed our meals.

A great cottage in a great quiet location peaceful but with a fantastic pub restaurant next door. We love this place it’s our second visit. And will go again. Yes if your picky you will find a couple of faults. But for me it’s relaxing and a fantastic chance to unwind. Plus a great base to explore further afield.

Lovely cottage in lovely location. Communication from owner was excellent, we arrived late due to travel and she had left us a light on and tea milk biscuits for arrival. Would stay again!

We have loved our week here. So much so that we have booked again. Fab spot. Pub right on doorstep & lovely canal walks with dog. Cottage is lovely. So much space. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go again.

The Stables is a very nice and roomy property, well equipped and clean. Unfortunately the low beams in the bedrooms were rather more of a problem than we thought they would be, however that was pointed out in the description. The cottage was next door to a Pub, which on paper sounded lovely, the reality however was anything but lovely. I was amazed at the state of the Bar area and the person I assumed was the manager or licensee, I can only describe both as a bit scruffy. There was also a Chef and the dining room did look much better. Therefore I would not stay in the Stables again.

The Stables is a warm, comfortable house with everything in it we needed. This was our second visit and we hope to return again.

Had a great time, very comfortable and warm. Beds are very comfy and being opposite the local pub was great.

Lovely cottage very near the Montgomery canal, great for relaxing walks and next to a very welcoming pub/restaurant. The cottage was warm and comfortable with everything necessary for a relaxing break. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A spacious, comfortable accommodation. We stayed as 2 couples for 6 nights. The canal afforded delightful walks whilst the Navi offered delicious food on a couple of nights. Oswestry was not too far for shopping and many other walking destinations were within easy reach.
