A comfortable and well equipped cottage - only a 15 to 20 min drive into the centre of Bath. The welcome pack and flowers a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

This cottage is one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in and is just the right size for 3 or 4 people and a dog. Garden is enclosed so we could let the dog out in the garden without worrying. It is in the perfect location to spend time with our daughter that is currently studying at Bristol Uni, visiting many pubs in Bristol for food and drinks, lots of pubs are dog friendly which is great.

We would definitely recommend the stables to anybody. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent cottage, and a lovely welcome including goodies we didn't expect because we were on a short break. It is small, and four would find eating at the table difficult, and the open fronted laundry room is rather exposed, especially in cold or wet weather. Nevertheless, a great location with both Bristol and Bath park and ride within 20 minutes drive. Quiet and lovely surroundings.

The Stables is a beautiful conversion about 7-8 miles outside of the ancient city of Bath.
It's situated on a working farm but there was little to no noise from the farming activities. You could see cattle in the distance, the chickens would come looking for food around the cottage in the afternoon but they were never a nuisance. It was lovely to see them and added to our experience. The owners are lovely people and were there for us if needed, nothing was too much trouble for them. On the second morning the toaster stopped working, by the afternoon of the same day a new one had been provibed. The property has been fitted to a very high standard..every day creature comforts have been catered for. All too often elsewhere we have encountered uncomfortable beds or showers that don't work properly...not so here. During the seven days spent here not one family member complained about the facilities..it's exactly what you would want and expect it to be. If WiFi access is important to you then rest assured it's fast enough to stream online content on the TV in the evenings. Foot paths close by for country side walks. Far less light pollution here so on clear nights sit out on the patio and wow at the stars! The petrol station at the main junction in the village is also a well known convenience store..it was well stocked for most things you might need. For visits to bath use the park and ride, far cheaper than the parking in the city center.
In conclusion this is a really lovely 'away from it all' holiday rental in an idyllic location that is still on the doorstep of many attractions for days out. Highly recommended.

Amazing cottage in a beautiful peaceful location. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped, with a welcome pack of the basic provisions when we arrived. The beds were so comfy and we all loved our stay. The location is perfect for Bath, Wells, Bristol, Cheddar and Longleat. The only slight recommendation would be to take a black out blind as we found the bedrooms very light! Otherwise, a perfect cottage!
