We really enjoyed the Stag and Coo, following lock-down we were looking for a comfortable home from home were we could chill and we found it at the Stag and Coo. Right from the initial dealings with the owner all the way to the last day we could not fault the service or the home. The view from the front window is impressive, we spent hours just watching the birds playing hide and seek in the tree! The cottage has a lovely garden to the back of the house which we were lucky to be able to use as the weather gods were kind! The dining kitchen is bright and airy and again you pick up the view when washing the dishes, made that chore a lot easier! We like to walk so the half hour walk into to Dingwall was fine for us, we also found some of the local walks right on the doorstep which kept us busy and took us in different directions - we knew Dingwall quite well by the end of the week! Big shout out to Cafe India who delivered what can only be described as one of the best Indian take away meals we have had in a long time. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Stag and Coo, it was clean, comfortable and provided us with an excellent base for out chill out week.

Quiet location on the outskirts of town with lovely views. We’ve hired dozens of cottages in the UK and France over the years and the Stag and Coo is the up there with the best of them. Comfort level is excellent and a lot of thought has gone into decor and equipment. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Dingwall has all the amenities you need and is a brilliant centre for touring the beautiful Highlands. We would gladly return in the future.
