Had a great week at Stewart's Cottage exploring the area and sightseeing. View from the cottage is fantastic and the house is well kitted out and has a lovely feel to it. A great base from which you can explore a fantastic area.

We would certainly stay here again. As a family of four (a 5 and 2 year old), the cottage was fantastic because of its open plan layout and secure garden. The kitchen was well equipped and the house itself, well presented. The beds were really comfy! We went to the beach every day because of its proximity but we did need to drive as the footpaths are too overgrown to walk there. The M & S and Tesco in Berwick are very close which was a Godsend with two small children. We did need to use additional blackout blinds because of the children. Some of the windows didn't have a blind or curtain so if I was to suggest one improvement, it would be to remedy this. Overall, we had a really wonderful time and hope to return again next year. The owner of this property was very helpful and really welcoming.

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. So close to the beach and so handy for access to Berwick on Tweed, Bamburgh and Dunstanbrough castle, and all the lovely towns and villages in this border region.

The Steward’s Cottage is a great place to stay as a couple or with a family. The cottage is clean and comfortable with views across fields down to the coast. We had a lovely holiday here.

The Steward's Cottage is located on a working farm, which is a mix of cattle and crops. The nearest facilities are in Berwick-upon-Tweed which is about 4 miles from the farm. There are no shops in Scremerston, the nearest village. The cottage enjoys a good view of the sea which is about 1 mile away via a public footpath which crosses the East Coast mainline, so care is needed. The facilities provided within the cottage are best described as 'adequate +'. There will be things you have in your own kitchen which are not provided (such as a chopping board, for instance). However, there is a good selection of pots and pans, sharp knives and crockery and a microwave is also available. The bed-linen is of good quality and the beds are comfortable. Obviously, personal preference will dictate whether-or-not the mattresses are to your liking, and it might be worth noting that these are on the soft side of firm. New wi-fi has been installed which is of a speed that will allow good streaming of video if required; a television is available and the local service is the same as the national availability. Mobile phone signal strength is variable by position (within the cottage) and carrier (as is common when away from high population areas). The lounge area is comfortable with 2 good sized settees. For those cooler evenings and days there is a decent log-burner - central heating is installed throughout the house, as is double glazing. Cleanliness of the cottage is generally okay, but if you are a 'clean-freak' it is probably best not to look too hard or under the beds. The state of the décor is average for a holiday cottage and the overall homeliness could be improved by re-decorating. In general our stay was great, helped by fantastic weather. I recommend this cottage for couples or families who want to get away from the 'busy-ness' of life and enjoy a holiday with sea views, while remaining within easy travel distance of shops, pubs and other modern facilities and conveniences.

Lovely view. Cattle very interesting. Bedrooms a little short of space for luggage but is on nature of house age. Very friendly people on farm
