Perfect... right in the heart of a working farm, with best sea views ever. Lovely and cosy, comfy beds. We loved it. Value for money score is lowered because prices are raised up for school holidays!! Even though all cottage let companies do this.... it still annoys me!

Great holiday, went there because the forecast was good. Cottage was really good, especially the open plan living room kitchen combination. Views to the sea were good, moon light reflections were spectacular. Website Photos were accurate, the place was pretty much as expected.

Stunning location with exceptional views. Amenities at the cottage good. Bathrooms looking a little tired but functional. Little things missing by way of crockery e.g. no milk jug or serving dishes. Freezer died on us on our second day but was promptly replaced by the owner the next day. Location really good for getting about in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.will return.

The Steward's Cottage is in a superb location, quiet with great views and easy access to the beach by car. Supermarkets close by without having to go into Berwick and Pot a doodle do a must for the best breakfast I can recall having. The cottage is looking a bit tired in places and would benefit from a spruce up. A shower over the upstairs bath would be a great addition as would coat hooks on the back of the doors. Downstairs shower is compact and without anywhere to put soap etc though hot water was plentiful. Every cupboard in the kitchen was full of crockery, pans and so on leaving no room to store groceries. The chest freezer really does need a clean (or replacing), it was iced up and contained foods of an indeterminate age left by previous occupants. The seal was hanging off the lid, not particularly attractive. Views from the garden are superb, but the picnic table and bench is all there is to sit on, we had noted this from previous reviews and took our own deckchairs. The bench could also do with a bit of love, it was green and a bit slimy, not particularly attractive to sit at. I would add that the beds and sofas were comfortable, we all slept well and enjoyed our stay, but would look for some simple improvements to have been implemented before we stayed again.

Lovely views over to Bamburgh castle and Lindisfarne. Very near to the beach and comfortable cottage. Addition of an upstairs shower would make the cottage 10/10 in my opinion.

Great location for costal views over to Holy Island. The cottage is very pleasant and just a few minutes form the A1 which makes it easy to tour the area.

This is a cottage with an amazing view - looking out towards Holy Island. The sunrises are beautiful! The location is very quiet. The cottage is clean and ideal for a family with 2 children so that each can have their own bedroom. There are supermarkets not far away and plenty of places to explore. Worth every penny!

Great location central to all of the places we planned to visit - Lindisfarne, Farne Islands, Berwick, Bamburgh, Cragside and Alnwick. The views from the property were fantastic and staying on a working farm was interesting. We had a fantastic week.

The Stewards cottage is in a fantastic location with superb views overlooking Cocklawburn beach. The surrounding farm yard and lands were also a great place to be, especially during calving season. It is a good location for getting back onto the A1 to explore the rest of Northumberland. Cheswick Black Sands is definitely worth a visit. The cottage itself is comfortable enough, the sofa’s are a decent size and the beds are comfy to sleep in, but the whole place is a little tired looking and could do with a lick of paint and a really good clean. Storage in both the kitchen area and bedrooms was a little bit of an issue, luckily we weren’t using the 3rd bedroom so that was used as a wardrobe and any supplies we had for the kitchen that wouldn’t fit on the worksurfaces were kept in the hall way. We had lovely weather during our stay and would have appreciated some garden furniture to enjoy the sun and the views, the garden bench became a little bit uncomfortable after 30 mins or so of sitting at it. Overall though, it was a great base location and we would go back again.

Stewards Cottafe was a wonderful base to explore Northumbria. It was very comfortable and warm, with wonderful views across to Lindisfarne. It is on a working farm; we especially enjoyed seeing the new calves arrive during our stay. Highly recommended
