Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Lawned garden shared with owner. Patio with garden furniture sun loungers and BBQ. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note No children.\n As a Summer House this delightful accommodation is everything you might hope a summer house would be. Timber clad sitting in an elevated spot in the neighbouring owner’s well established gardens and taking full advantage of countryside views. Small but perfectly formed seems a perfect way to sum it up. The conversion from garden room to holiday accommodation took place in spring 2018 and the good standard of fixtures and fittings well-equipped modern kitchen and focal point of the wood burner has resulted in the perfect bolt hole for two. The accommodation includes a patio with sun loungers to really make the most of sunnier days and offers guests a relaxing spot to enjoy a good book good wine and good company. A couple will find The Summer House the ideal spot for a weekend break or a week exploring this much loved area.\nWalkers and cyclists can enjoy a range of routes literally from the door and the owner has provided convenient storage for bikes the area enjoys the Coast to Coast route. This corner of the beautiful Eden Valley sits close to both the North Pennines and North Lakes. Whilst your days can be filled staying close to home – a walk from The Summer House to Long Megs Stone Circle should be on everyone’s to do list equally the Lacy Caves on the River Eden. Those wishing to head further afield will find Keswick and Lake Ullswater just a short drive away. Or head to Alston one of the highest market towns in the country where the drive or cycle offers views well worth the heart skipping climb. The Eden Valley offers hamlets and villages throughout its picturesque landscape. Welcoming village inns artisan bakeries and traditional tea rooms rub shoulder to shoulder with ruined castles folklore legends and traditional historic market towns.     warm welcome, great location, stunning views the snow made it extra special as it was unexpected. nice walks , great food on offer locally, also not far from Gretna Green Outlet Village (40mins by car) overall a brilliant holiday we will book again

    The quality of the finish and provisions was beyond our expectation. It was well designed and even though the kitchen, bedroom and lounge are in the same room the layout felt that there was plenty of space. Kevin and Michaela were very welcoming and provided some essential groceries. It was a warm welcome on a cold winters night as the fire had been set up too. It was a perfect start to our 2019. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.
