Formerly the railway station, is this beautiful grade II listed property that has been lovingly converted to a particularly high standard by the owners, into a luxury two bedroomed cottage. Each room has been beautifully designed with tasteful décor and furnishings, whilst retaining some original features, and is very well-equipped with everything you should need to enjoy a memorable stay here. It is positioned in an enviable location literally just a few minutes’ stroll to the beach and promenade of the pretty town of Hornsea. There is also a leisure centre located close by with indoor pool for keen swimmers. The famous Trans Pennine Trail, that is a long-distance path running from coast to coast across northern England entirely on surfaced paths and using only gentle gradients, is located right on your doorstep at the rear of the cottage, making this an ideal retreat for walkers, cyclists and dog owners alike. A short walk will bring you into the bustling town centre of Hornsea which has an old-fashioned feel with a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes, whilst nearby Hornsea Mere is the largest natural fresh water lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Hornsea Freeport is well-known for shopping with a large selection of shops, perfect for some retail therapy; whilst nearby Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve have one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain. Hornsea provides a good base for touring the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and the East Riding coastal resorts. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the heritage Yorkshire coastline with the bustling resort of Bridlington and Flamborough Head all close by. The picturesque market town of Beverley is 13 miles away where you can enjoy a day out at the races or look around the stunning gothic cathedral.
