Enjoying spectacular panoramic views from the comfort of the sun lounge, where you can regularly watch the seals, ducks, and other wildlife. The months of April to mid-June is prime time for seeing Orcas along the Caithness coast on a regular basis (follow them on "Caithness & Moray Firth Cetacean Sightings").
The Waves is furnished and equipped to a very good standard to ensure a comfortable and relaxing holiday, making a super base for exploring Caithness and beyond. Visit the Heritage Centre and The Pultney Distillery both within walking distance or visit the Castle of Mey, Dunnet Head, John O’Groats and the beautiful Orkney Isles, all within easy reach. The Grey Cairns of Camster are just one example of the many archeological sites in the area. Castle Sinclair Girnigoe nearby. For those seeking an active holiday there is a variety of watersports available including surfing and sea angling, or inland mountain biking and hill walking. For the less energetic, meander along some of the many unspoilt beaches with their large variety of bird and wildlife or just sit and relax in the comfort of The Waves. Pebble beach 10 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
