Walkers and cyclist will find themselves just a few miles away from Hadrian’s Wall and the historic paths and roads that were once walked by the Romans. This is a great opportunity to visit one of the many Roman Settlements and Forts nearby including Chesters, Housesteads and Vindolanda. The beautiful beaches of the Northumberland Coast, Alnwick, Bamburgh, Holy Island and the Scottish Borders are all easily reachable within an hour’s drive.
