Penny Farthing is a traditional barn with upside down accommodation. The positives include 1. Cleanliness - it was a absolutely spotless! 2. Location the barn is in beautiful countryside and a 10 min walk to coastal path. The pub The Trewellard Arms at the top of the lane and served the best pub food We’ve EVER had! 3. Lovely friendly owner who was welcoming and concerned for our comfort. 4. The lounge was comfortable with proper comfy sofas and a decent sized table. 5. Lovely little pretty private garden. 6. Very comfortable beds and good quality bed linen. 7. Loads of hot water. To improve further: 1. More glasses, mugs and some essential equipment such as wooden spoons and smaller frying pan etc would have been useful. 2. As it is a traditional barn it was very dark inside in certain rooms perhaps some brighter lighter decor would help. 3. The bedrooms downstairs were quite cold and had a slightly damp feel but as it is a very old and beautiful building I guess that’s just how they are. 4. The price for one week was quite high compared to others.

We really enjoyed our weeks stay. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. The area has a natural rugged beauty ideal for walkers. There is one pub nearby in the village that does excellent food and real ales. You can walk along to the next village Pendeen where there are a further two pubs that do food, a local store, fish and chip shop and even a Tapas bar! There is a very good bus service to Penzance, St Ives and Lands End.
