It offers quick and easy access to the many delights of Ulverston home to the start of the Cumbria Way with its old pubs excellent restaurants and the twice-weekly market which is not to be missed. The Lake District National Park Eskdale Railway the World of Beatrix Potter and the Furness Coast are all within easy reach as well as Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston which are 12 miles away. Ulverston has a wide range of shops cafés restaurants and pubs a cinema and a leisure centre. Today it’s well known as a festival town with events throughout the year including walking and art festivals in the summer months and the renowned Dickensian festival in late November. One of the town’s great claims to fame is as the birthplace of Stan Laurel. Whilst many Lakeland destinations have been developed beyond recognition Ulverston still has an authentic feel and community spirit. All of the attractions of the National Park are easily reached. Bardsea and Askam beach are nearby as is Dalton Zoo and the Dock Museum in Barrow. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good bird watching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay. This is a wonderful holiday location for family and friends to get away from it all and is an excellent area for cycling. Shop pub and restaurant 50 yards. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/495/840/495459.jpg 26532

Lovely cottage, very clean and has everything that you need for a very comfortable stay, great location for visiting the surrounding areas, Ulverston it’s self has all the amenities that you need . We had a wonderful time!

Nice cottage with parking in a nice market town. On the corner of a noisy road but didn't bother us.

Lovely cottage clean, bright home from home. Everything you need for you and your dog. Central to many places. We took our dog to 3 beaches all a short drive away. Plenty of places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

The main problem was the noise from the main road which started early morning and again in the evening. The cottage was fitted out to the highest standard and was very comfortable. It was good to be so near all the local amenities and there are lots of pubs and restaurants serving great food in Ulverston. I was able to cycle the Bay Cycleway with the use of the local trains, the train station being just around the corner. I thoroughly e joyed the holiday

Everything was excellent except for one problem the cooker front required cleaning, however apart from this everything was spotless.

Nice cottage with good position. The mainroadside room is noisy. The other one very quiet. The room need curtains that don't let the Light through. There is not europeen swich and you need to bring your. The parking is OK for one car but not for à van. It would be nice if we can find cleaning product (towel papier, washing machine powder, cleaning gel for toilets......)

Loved our weeks stay here, beautiful cottage, very comfortable with high quality beds, bedding & decor, close to town centre, will not hesitate to return, perfect in every way ?

The accommodation is situated right in the middle of Ulverston at the back of an old rather grey house. Inside is a lot brighter with two modern bathrooms. There are definite pros and cons with this location the pros being the array of restaurants and pubs plus the Laurel and Hardy Museum very nearby however, you must be prepared for constant traffic noise throughout the day and night and there is an ambulance station in the next street so the sounds of sirens are never far away. But the pros definitely win! Also off road parking space is a bonus.

We have just had a very enjoyable 4 nights stay at Trinity House and can honestly say that everything was brilliant. The only thing I would slightly criticise is that perhaps an additional easy chair would be good. There were 4 adults in our party and although yes we could sit 3 on the settee it was rather snug and we all agreed that it would be more comfortable when spending the evening in if there had been an extra comfy chair so that just 2 people sat on the settee. Having said this I really must say that this didn't spoil our stay in any way and I would certainly highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage, well sited right next to town and cinema, pubs and restaurants. Loved the canal foot walk along beach.
