A lovely little cottage that is cosy & well equipped. The owners are extremely helpful & really cant do enough fir you. It has a real homely feel to it and the little fairy doors, Narnia and Harry Potter references around the cottage are lovely.
However, the cottage really is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest local shop & pub is nearly 3 miles away. The pub at the bottom of the hill near to the cottage is closed at the moment for no apparent reason.

Wonderful cottage, the owners have put a lot of thought into making it feel like a home from home. We found it very comfortable with such marvellous views that it was a pleasure to just sit and take in the views, especially watching all the birds (and pheasants) that appeared in the garden. We were lucky to have had good weather so got the best of every thing but I’m sure even on a wet miserable day the cottage is so comfortable that we would have enjoyed our stay.

Tulip Cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped. Environment was peaceful. The views were good (weather dependent). Found it a good base to explore Weardale, Yorkshire, Cumberland and Northumberland!
We would stay here again!

We went as two couples and our dog. The things we had planned to do never happened as the cottage was in such a lovely area we walked from the cottage and chilled out.
