Set in the heart of the National Park and near the quaint village of Troutbeck this lovely home has mature beautifully landscaped gardens that are regularly visited by a host of wildlife the grounds also home to several ornate cast iron birds dotted here and there between the shrubs and greenery. Of course this is wonderful walking territory for all ages and abilities and when the need arises Windermere and Ambleside are just a short distance away for collecting a few provisions or doing a spot of shopping or sightseeing. \nWith dry stone walls sheep in the nearby fields and uninterrupted Lakeland views this stylish bungalow offers sophisticated and superior accommodation for the smaller party with sumptuous soft furnishings and top notch facilities. Two good bedrooms are served by a modern quality bathroom and two cloakrooms whilst the spacious lounge with open fire and direct access to the patio and gardens is an elegant and relaxing space to return to at the end of the day.     The property is in a good location and the surrounding area is beautiful. Unfortunately, the views were unable to be fully appreciated from the patio because the trees and bushes need maintaining. The property is in need of some new furniture and TLC. The sofa and chairs were dirty and marked, we sat on blankets from the bedroom. Some of the pans were old and in need of replacing. The rugs and living room carpet need replacing, the property would benefit from new windows and doors. I was unable to open and close some of them. The bed was far too soft and my partner had to take to sleeping on the sofa from day two. The bed had a winter duvet on, it was July and therefore far too warm and uncomfortable. This property could be outstanding because it's in a lovely spot and a great size, it just needs more care and attention to detail.

    A lovely, comfortable cottage - there were two of us but would easily accommodate 4 people. The garden is beautiful - steps and paths can be a bit slippery in the wet. Great views from the lounge. Well located for getting to the central lakes. I would certainly stay again

    A simply beautiful place to stay, fantastic views of garden and surrounding countryside and view of lake windermere in the distance. We enjoyed watching the variety of birds in the garden. Lots of places to visit, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top is a must and also Windermere itself with its cafes, souvenir shops etc. One of the best cottages we have had. Ideally placed to visit all of the lakes.

    Lovely cottage in a great location.Close to a town and all the best places but still rural area which makes this place special.the cottage itself well equipped.two big big bedrooms and specious living room overlooking Lake Windermere on one side and a mountains on the other with a fantastic sunset. The Garden is an amazing space too. Lots of privacy and well maintained. The cottage has a big kitchen 3 toilets and a laundry room with a washing machine and a separate dryer which was really helpful. The bathroom really nice but needs a little spring cleaning.The driveway really spacious too.
