The country house sits in a quiet hamlet of properties that have been converted from the former barns that surrounded the house.

There are many wonderful walking opportunities and a fine selection of golden sandy beaches close by. Just 6 miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog, the departure point for wonderful steam train journeys on the famous Ffestiniog Railway and also the Italianate village of Portmeirion, which is the location of the cult TV series, The Prisoner, and the art and music festival, Festival Number 6. A myriad of exhilarating outdoor pursuits and water activities are all close by along with, fishing and horse riding. Beach 2¼ miles. Shops, pub and restaurants 2 miles.

Whilst the cottage was small it is adequate for two people. The shower was very poor not much pressure at all. The seating wasn’t very comfortable but the bed was very comfy. The welcome pack was lovely and the log burner and wood supplied would be lovely in the winter. We took a very small dog with us and she struggled with the steps down to the back garden as these were quite big. The cottage is surrounded by other cottages which is very deceiving from the photos on the website. The WiFi was very poor and there was no router in the property. We also noticed there were no central heating controls so assuming during the winter this must be controlled from the owners house which is adjoining.

A really delightful place with a sweet little garden and the owners were friendly and very helpful. The only slight drawback was a bit of a smell of cats but when this was brought to the attention of the owners they were very apologetic and took pains to remedy the situation.

A lovely cottage. The perfect place to get away from it all yet easy reach of the coast line and places to visit. Very friendly owners. We will certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Cottage sits in peaceful countryside; no ‘road noise’ at all. Great for star gazing from the very comfy bed! Find fresh eggs in the little box by your private garden gate. We loved it!

    An enjoyable time . Pleasantly " remote " , and it's " quirkiness " suited me . Nice people !
