This is a lovely bungalow in a peaceful setting with superb views over the Afon estuary with Portmeirion in the distance. However, there are a few drawbacks, the hot water only dribbles in the kitchen and bathroom but the electric shower is fine, the dining table is very high with stools which we did not find convenient and the wifi failed completely the whole week which was a nuisance as I needed it for work - a mobile wifi device would be a useful replacement. In all other aspects it was very good, the bungalow was well appointed, warm and immaculately clean and the light fittings have to be seen to be believed!

This is a very nice, comfortable holiday cottage with a lovely view over the "traeth" towards Portmeirion. The website pictures are not accurate as everything has been updated recently. The garden is far more mature now which means the cottage is beautifully secluded. I am biased in my view of the area as I had many childhood holidays in Talsarnau. It's a great base for walking and there are many wonderful walks from the cottage going up through Soar behind Talsarnau into the hills behind which will reward you with fantastic views. Talsarnau itself has no shops - just a pub that does great value Sunday roasts - but Porthmadog is only a few minutes drive away. The kitchen is very well equipped although we would have preferred a dishwasher. The beds are very comfortable and we didn't mind the small/high dining table which has 6 bar stools. We went for 2 weeks and there were 4 of us most of the time which was fine but even when my sister and her husband joined us for a few days it didn't feel cramped. The internet did not work at all but 4G coverage is good. TV reception was poor at times. There is no bike store at the moment as the outdoor stores are being used by the owner.

Lovely location and lovely bungalow, especially the outdoor area with superb views of the estuary and Port Merion

This is a lovely cottage, recently renovated, in a great location. Although it has six beds, it is perhaps better suited to four people, as there are not six seats at either of the indoor or outdoor tables. We were unfortunate in that the WiFi was down for the whole week (but have received a refund to compensate), the fridge door was broken, and all of the windows were locked during a very hot week. I have brought these, faults to the attention of the owner, and am sure they will be resolved. In all, I would highly recommend the cottage, and would happily return.

I would recommend the property. The view from this property is stunning. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. It is quiet at the edge of a village but you can walk to the local pub. The only problem we found was that the dining table in the pictures had been changed a tall table and bar stools. We had a few laughs trying to get my eighty year old mother on a bar stool to eat! I'm not sure it would have been suitable for young children either but it looked great.

Really good accommodation ideally situated to visit a wide selection of locations in north wales fantastic views from enclosed deck

The position was very good for scenery and quite close to shops & supermarkets in Porthmadog Not so good for bigger dogs to many sheep to let them run free except in the wood up to the old fort, or going to nearby beach's The Wi-Fi was down during our stay but when returning to this area we would try to book here as a first choice.

A lovely view in a lovely part of North Wales. Cleanliness was not great at all to the point we cleaned upon arrival. Closer detail is needed. Would recommend a family of 4 but not 6 due. We knew there was 1 bathroom as described however just 2 sofas and a tight dining table, not the one in the picture made meals either very cosy or some at the table whilst others eating off laps.
