The owners next door were very friendly but non intrusive and take pride in their properties. Our dog was made very welcome. Beautiful countryside though many of the local footpaths were overgrown and impassable. The Tarka Trail nearby is ideal for walking and cycling. It’s a beautiful and peaceful location which means you need to leave sufficient time to get further afield. Plenty of local pubs within a short drive and everyone was friendly!

We booked this cottage based on previous reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Very well presented, well appointed cottage with a very well equipped kitchen & comfy beds. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend to anyone and may be back one day.

Beautifully restored cottage along a very quite narrow lane with lovely countryside views. The cottage was extremely well furnished with a modern bathroom and country style, but modern kitchen with electric range cooker. The garden was completely secure for our little dog and friendly little dogs next door who belong to the cottage owners, who welcomed us on arrival, made it known we only had to ask if we needed anything, but completely respected our privacy. Milk, eggs, bread and tea cakes, butter and jam were provided and most welcome on our arrival. We had a very quite relaxing stay and would certainly recommend.

We had a wonderful short break during half term with our children. The cottage was in a beautiful position with a view across fields & inside was not only cosy but fully furnished with everything we could need. We enjoyed days at the beach & exploring the local area. Next time we’d definitely bring bikes to use on the Tarka trail. Dean & Nikki were great hosts & went over and above to make us feel very welcome. Overall, a super holiday & a place we’d recommend to others looking for somewhere to get away from it all.

Lovely well equipped cottage , friendly owners who left us a very thoughtful welcome pack of bread , milk, butter , jam , eggs as well as some daffodils on the table. It was lovely to sit out in the conservatory and enjoy the warm February sun , also the cottage is ideal with dog owners as there's a public footpath across the fields no more than 20 feet away from the cottage. All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay and hope to return in the near future.

Had a fabulous stay with our dog. Bed, bowls and dog treats were most welcome. As for the cottage it was so well equipped. Literally everything you could ever need. A real home from home. Cottage was beautiful, comfortable, cozy and very warm ( much needed after a day on the hills in Feb) with a lovely wood burner and heaters in every room. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly but not at all intrusive. Would definately recommend and will certainly be back again.

Lovely quiet peaceful cottage with very welcoming hosts who provided a number of little extras. The only things that we marked down we're the local facilities and heating. The local pub was full of friendly locals and served nice ale but our anniversary meal was rather disappointing. The weather was particularly cold all week and it was lovely and cosy with the wood burner. However that took quite a while to get up to temperature and the electric panel heaters weren't adequate on their own.

We had a lovely stay at this extremely well equipped, characterful and conveniently located cottage. Very nice local pub within easy walking distance for drinks and where we had a very good Sunday lunch. The hosts Dean and Nikki couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We would certainly like to stay again at some time very soon.

The cottage has everything you could possibly need. Knowing our dog was welcome was lovely. He especially enjoyed his welcome treat! We really appreciated the cream tea on arrival and the fact that the wood burner was already laid. We had a lovely weekend away in Devon and will definitely be back!
