We loved this cottage, we spent a lovely week with our kids and grandkids, they loved the space play room and the farm animals.

Beautiful location stunning scenery lots of places to visit. Beds very comfy. Kitchen even had a electric whisk !! Shame the fridge and freezer are in the utility room behind the door. Upstairs bedroom is above the lounge and the floors creak alot. We were plagued by flies when we were there but it was lambing
season. Lovely walks for our dog and very secure. Red kites and woodpeckers came to visit.

This is a beautiful farmhouse which was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The games room was excellent. The farmhouse is very remote and peaceful so fine if you enjoy being in the countryside but it is 7 miles from the nearest town - Llandrindod Wells. Our only small criticism was there were not quite enough plates and bowls and cutlery and there weren't any large cooking dishes - eg a large casserole dish.

Cold, wet and hurricane Gareth but we still had a great time. Such a beautiful place to stay. We were happy cooking ,chatting, laughing, drinking and enjoying family time together.
4th time we have stayed at the property & never been disappointed
Fantastic farmhouse with all the comforts of home plus a hot tub. A great place to relax and unwind whilst also being ideally located for numerous lovely walks in places such as Elan Valley, Rhayader, Llandrindod Wells and much more. Owners were very friendly and easy to deal with. Nothing really close by such as shops or pubs etc but you really do not need them if you go prepared. We would highly recommend.
Fantastic cottage and a week doing nothing but spending time with the kids building dens, hot tub and lots of walks with the dog.
Dont book this cottage of u like phone signal or wifi but it was perfect as thats what we were after.
The owners were super helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
We cant wait for a return visit to this amazing location xxx
What an great accommodation!!! Just what we was looking for. Everything was provided that you would expect from home to home. Something for everyone ... kids loved the games room, log fire made nights extra cosy and star gazing in the hot tub on a winter's night was amazing.
The farm house was very spacious, tastefully furnished and was a true reflection in the photographs provided by the owners.
Very pleasant surprise was a dog run for our dogs, which was a secure field of about 4 acres. There was no flys in the farmhouse as stated in previous reviews and was lovely and clean. Also one side of the farm house did overlook some working barns on the land but we saw nor heard anyone during our stay, so was very private. The one and only thing I would suggest would be a larger freezer, only as shops are 20 mins away and had to shop most days.
Beautiful area and soo much to see but not enough time to do everything. Definately looking forward to returning in the future.
Upper Sign Farmhouse is a fabulous place to stay and it is in a lovely and peaceful secluded location. The owners were friendly and helpful and have provided all the equipment you could possibly want. It was decorated nicely for Christmas and we had a wonderful time here. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews as the property is exactly as described and suggest that if you are considering booking here that you read the details properly so you know what you're getting. The property is up a small road. There is a small sign at the junction, which you need to look out for. The front of the property looks out onto some barns but the rear has a garden with fields beyond - a great view from the hot tub. We were allowed to let our dog run in the first immediate field as there were no sheep near which was an added bonus. You will need to plan your shopping trips as there is nothing in the immediate vicinity but it's not too far to drive. Phone signal is not great (but this was as described) - you have to go upstairs or up the field to get a reasonable signal but this was one of the attractions of this location in the first place. We would not hesitate to book here again, in fact we did not want to leave.
For the money, the property was fine. Rubbish water pressure, especially from the hot tap. Creaky floor boards, but no hardship. Hot tub was quite cool, though the boiler engineers were coming in the day we left. Owners were very pleasant, let us go in early. In the middle of nowhere, got lost returning one night when it was dark, need a good sat nav.
Lovely cottage, we had a great week.
*Beautifully decorated bedrooms, all bed linen & towels provided & a hot tub!
*if you want a break from it all this is for you as there isn’t any WiFi- we got phone signal though
*Lovely & quiet
*Enclosed field to use for dogs to run around on
*Owners are lovely & don’t bother you at all apart from checking the hot tub daily
* not that close to many things to do- but for us this wasn’t an issue
*Quite a lot of flies ( could do with a proper bug zapper)
*Small dishwasher- sounds bizarre but the hot water is verrrrrry slow in kitchen so if you had a large family I could get a bit annoying trying to wash up & keep loading dishwasher
*Fridge in utility- have to keep going behind door to get stuff out of fridge- again just a little jiggle & the freezer is tiny.
None of this spoilt our week- we loved every minute of just relaxing with our 2 spaniels 😀
It was fine for us, but think a larger group might find the small dishwasher & hardly any hot to wash up a bit of a nuisance. The fridge/freezer & dishwasher are in a utility area & it was slightly awkward to keep going behind a door to fetch the milk & loafing/unloading dishwasher
The cottage itself was excellent and the owner was lovely, but it was just a little far away from shops and things to do.

Flies infesting the kitchen
Hot tub was not hot the second day
Welcome pack was a packet of biscuits and nothing else.
Pillows were flat
Towels were small
Showers were electric - but electricity kept cutting out.
No phone signal
Left a day early
we enjoyed our stay at the cottage peace and quiet. the pictures of the cottage should be updated as there is no telescope for people who want to stargaze. there was no welcome pack a bit of sugar and tea bags picture shows a basket full of things. the cottage itself was alright needs a few things sorting out not as clean as I would of had it been a self employed cleaner myself. To the front of the cottage you are over looking some run down barns. no wifi. signals on our phones so really should be a pay phone in the cottage . would not return because there is so many other cottages to go to in different places.
This place is such a hidden gem I am reluctant to give it a glowing review, because if you go there, you won't want to go anywhere else again and then it'll make it harder for me to rebook!! 😉😂
Absolutely fabulous place, wonderfully accommodating owners - a real home from home. A very restful haven away from civilisation for our autistic son and plenty of 'quiet' places to explore that are wheelchair/SEN buggy accessible.
Really cannot recommend this high enough!
