A truly beautiful location and stunning accommodation awaits you at Heath Farm, where you will be greeted with the warmest of welcomes and homemade cakes and fresh flowers. The cottages are located in the quiet and tranquil surroundings of the Oxfordshire countryside bordering the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, between the market towns of Chipping Norton and Banbury. Set in 70 acres of woodland and meadows, these five stone cottages were originally farm buildings; the owners have transformed these into individual luxury accommodation for couples, friends and small families using high standards of craftmanship. Each one has its own character, and with plenty to do on-site, you’ll be sure to returning to try them all.
Within each individual cottage, local craftsman have built the furniture and fittings using much of the wood from the farm’s own trees as well as a wealth of natural materials. All the cottages cluster around a beautiful courtyard for all to enjoy, with stunning views and plenty of seating areas to take in the morning sun or a glass of wine in the evening. Take a walk through the woodland paths whilst spotting the local wildlife, wander through the flower meadow, or sit in a quiet area with a picnic.
All cottages have cosy fires where you can relax in front of and reflect on the day’s activities. Beechnut Cottage (UKC4653), Hazelnut Cottage (UKC4656) and Chestnut Cottage (UKC4654) are all one-bedroom properties featuring a Moroccan-style shower room as well as hidden access via a secret panelled door. Walnut Cottage (UKC4657) is the crowning glory, accessed by an external solid oak staircase which leads to the top two floors of a converted barn, and has a spacious, galleried, open-plan layout, making for real indulgence. Cobnut Cottage (UKC4655), with its accommodation spread over two floors and with two separate en-suite bedrooms, is a favourite with families and friends. This cottage boasts stunning views across the valley and into the courtyard.
Within the grounds you can enjoy a games room with activities including croquet, badminton, volleyball, swingball and giant jenga. There is also swings, a slide and outdoor chess. If you have time to drag yourself away from the fabulous grounds, you can discoverthe Cotswolds, where you can meander through beautiful towns and villages, stopping at country pubs, beauty spots and admire the traditional Cotswolds stone properties found in this area. There is something for everyone within easy reach ranging from outdoor pursuits and sports, museums, zoos and wildlife parks, shopping and historic houses. The expansive designer shopping village in Bicester can be reached in under half an hour or stunning Blenheim Palace is only 12 miles away. The historic university city of Oxford, 22 miles, makes for a most enjoyable day trip with its beautiful architecture, punting on the river and city tours.
