Lovely cosy cottage in a fabulous setting - facing the waterfall and with a shop and pub in walking distance. Comfy beds and sofas. Would have been even better if it had a dishwasher and if the shower was more powerful but these are minor complaints. Cottage is a lovely Dales hideaway

The cottage,in my opinion is suitabe for a family of four,ie.Parents and two children. The second Bedroom is not a double sized room, unless Bunk Beds were in place of the two singles, which were placed so close together, one had to walk sideways, crab like to get in them. The kettle needed descaling, which I did, once I had purchased De-Scaler from Catterick Tesco. The shower head also needed Descaling as only 8 holes had water coming from them! But we enjoyed our holiday, nevertheless. The living room was very comfortable,as was the main bedroom, and West Burton is a beautiful village,so perfect location.

Waterfall Cottage has all the basics that you need. Some non stick pans would make cooking a little easier though. Was lovely that toilet roll, washing up liquid, sponges and tea towels were provided. Beautiful setting. Have been coming to West Burton and surrounding villages since I was a child. Lovely to have walks from the door and loved the fact that the cottage was dog friendly. Shame the tea shop didn't survive! The pub does nice food and the butchers is also an asset to the village. An update to the visitors book I feel would be beneficial. Information on how to work the storage heaters would be handy - they seemed to either be on full blast or not atall and details of the location of the immersion tank should it be required. Overall a good cottage and somewhere that we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A lovely dog friendly break, interesting albeit very traditional cozy cottage with Cauldron Falls literally at the front door (when we were there the falls were in full spate). The local pub has good food, is in easy walking distance and again likes dogs so an extra benefit. We liked the upside down format ( less luggage carrying!) and the easy access to the beautiful Wensleydale area.

Just a bit disappointed with the bathroom ,shower was just pathetic . Also the log burner was poor kicked out more smoke than heat and yes I've used many ones before. The cottage was cozy and the location was excellent oh and the door on the staircase was tricky to negotiate , two of us fell down the stairs because of it !!
