With spectacular views towards Dunstanburgh Castle to the north and the beaches as far as Amble and Coquet Island to the south and panoramic views out to the sea, this detached property offers a sunken sheltered area of garden, making a perfect area for family barbecues whilst listening to the waves crashing below. A stone wall is all that separates the lawn from the yawning and rocky beach. French doors from the two living areas lead straight out to the well maintained gardens should you wish to relax and unwind. Craster village lies halfway along the Heritage Coastal route in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty and is still famous today for its smoked kippers and seafood. The walk along to Dunstanburgh Castle has featured in the top ten walks in Britain and can be started from your door.     Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their holiday at this lovely house. The welcome pack was excellent and the location was superb. Breakfast looking across the bay as the sun rose could not be bettered!

    A brilliant place to stay if visiting Northumberland. A super quality house overlooking the sea, managed to see dolphins from the living room as they passed by on five of the seven days that we were there, you can't beat that!

    Well where to start? They say first impressions are everything and thats definitely the case at waters edge... myself , husband and children were delighted at the numerous thoughtful gestures around the house. From two bottles of prosecco, easter chocolates and a vase of freshly cut flowers on entry, to cold bottled water in the fridge, fresh milk , well stocked cupboards and thoughful extras in the kitchen such as tea ,coffee and hot chocolte, on to the plentiful toiletries in the bathroom, fresh fluffy towels and clean airy bedrooms the house was an exciting delight! A games room pool table and good selection of books , plus wifi, kept the teenagers very happy. Outside provided futher cause for cheer with heart shaped shells on the table in a delightful garden and an Alice in wonderland feel to the garden gate which leading to the rocky beach. Located in a quaint village and cosy welcoming villiage pub and nearby children’s playgroundleft everyone happy. The proof of the pudding is in the quality of sleep though, comfortable beds and cosy rooms made for a sound nights sleep, to be greeted by a glorious sunrise coming through the main bedroom balcony windows, overlooking the sea, made for a heavenly start to each morning.A huge thankyou to owners Caroline and John, Northumberland is a brilliant place to visit and Craster is one of the best places to stay.

    Our stay at Waters Edge was wonderful. We'll equipped kitchen and the property was lovely and clean. Great location and pub close by was a bonus. We will be booking again. Highly recommended.

    Cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. The view is gorgeous and very relaxing - you could definitely spend hours gazing out of the window at the waves, sea life, birds and boats! Cottage was well equipped, very clean and has everything you need and more. Would highly recommend a stay!

    We have visited Craster a number of times as we only live about 40 miles away but fancied a long weekend there & had seen Waters Edge when visiting the Gallery. It’s a very spacious, well equipped house with plenty of room for 8 people. On arrival the house was spotlessly clean & there were fresh flowers, chocolates & a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. We didn’t have the best of weather but the games room provided ample space for us to dry out our boots & jackets & then spend time playing pool which was great fun. We would definitely recommend & hope very much to return another time.
