Sat in the grounds of Wayside Campsite in south Shropshire, Aston is a beautiful shepherd’s hut named after one of the local hills it overlooks. The plot boasts stunning views across the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and enjoys its own private garden area complete with a wood-fired hot tub, seating area and a barbecue. Inside the hut there is a double bed with access either side for extra comfort, a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities and a cosy wood burner. There is also a shower room. Impressive views from the hut and garden area are unspoilt and give Aston a truly relaxing and romantic feel for your Shropshire stay.
Wayside is a small, friendly campsite with a bar on-site with a snooker table (open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings). There’s a variety of accommodation on-site, including two other shepherd’s huts (refs UK32094 and UK32098), a lodge (ref UK32099) and holiday home (ref UK32090), as well as a handful of camping pitches.
Nestled in the picturesque South Shropshire Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the site is located in a rural setting, within walking distance of the small village of Aston-on-Clun. Nearby facilities include a real ale pub, shop and village hall. There’s also a train station in Broome. For those looking for a quiet getaway, then the nearby towns of Ludlow and Church Stretton offer relaxed shopping, dining and quaint local shops within picturesque surroundings. Walkers of all ages and abilities are catered for with a range of hikes, from gentle strolls around the village green to easy access to the Shropshire Way.
