    Westbay View is located directly on the esplanade and has unobstructed views over Oban Bay, the island of Kerrera and the Isle of Mull on the West Coast of Scotland. This second floor apartment is furnished and equipped to a very good standard, it has a spacious living area with window seat and has a much coveted private parking space for guests. With its sea frontage, Westbay View catches the sun all day long.
    Oban, with its bustling harbour and large variety of restaurants and shops, is known as both the ’Seafood capital of Scotland’ and as ’Gateway to the Isles’. You can take a short ferry trip from the pier to one of the inner isles, including Mull and Iona, where an abundance of birds and wildlife can be spotted, or take a stroll to Ganavan beach on the edge of town. McCaig’s Tower is a few hundred yards away as are shops, whilst pubs are within 20 yards. A must visit is the local chocolate factory just along the esplanade and for those looking to explore further afield Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Inveraray, the Crinan Canal and Loch Lomond are easily accessed. Buses, trains and taxis are literally on your doorstep. Beach 2 miles. Shop 250 yards, pub 20 yards, restaurant 300 yards.

    The flat was a second choice for us. Starting with the positives well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, nice bright lounge/diner but high windows as on 2nd floor had to stand to see the view which was lovely. The owners were very helpful and met us on arrival, and left some nice touches chocolates, tea, coffee, wine etc. Cleanliness could have been better the kitchen work surfaces were not clean. The massive let down was the bathroom The photo only showed the loo and the description was "shower over bath" we assumed that to be the case. Reality was a shower 3 foot above the bath and because the ceiling sloped you could not stand and shower (not unless you are 3 foot tall) so you had to bath not shower. The whole bathroom was grotty paint peeling and a ramshackle towel rack hung on the door. If we had known this we would not have booked. If the owners upgraded the bathroom it would be acceptable as long as you don't mind 2 flights of stairs.
