A large holiday cottage very well located for The Ferry pub and boating on the Broads. It would have been a nice thought to have a small welcome pack or even a welcoming letter. Horning itself is a very pleasant place in Norfolk to stay.

Loved the cottage and it’s location. Would definitely stay there again. A few useful (we hope) points:- There was no information in the house regarding the following -doctor/dentist in case of urgent care Rubbish I.e. recyclables and how to dispose of Instructions for use of TV / internet. Despite accommodation for 8 there were only 2 outside balcony chairs. Only 1 key - we were two couples and myself so found it slightly difficult if we didn’t all come back at the same time- a key safe outside would be helpful or an extra key. However, we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed staying at Wherrymere, great location with plenty to see & do.. the cottage was very comfortable, home from home. On arriving, found that there was no barbaque, but one phone call and a barbaque arrived at the cottage!,plus charcoal!!, which we thought was very sweet. Would deffenatley stay there again.😄

Having stayed at another property on the same moorings four years ago, expectations were high that we would have a similarly enjoyable experience. To be fair it wasn't a terrible experience however there were a few problems. Two days into the trip the toilet in the main bathroom became blocked and we were assured the problem would be fixed that day. Sadly it wasn't and we resorted to purchasing a plunger and drain cleaner to clear the problem over night. A lovely chap sorted everything out the following day but advised that all the properties in that site were having issues as the houses were sinking as the ground dried out. Evidence to the side of the house behind the orange workmans mesh is testament to the problem. Other issues included beds obviously not holding up under holiday traffic and were held together with metal brackets in the twin room, uncomfortable mattresses throughout, missing arms on the kitchen window so only one could be opened, rusty and dirty furniture on the balcony and frankly a lack of maintenance on the balcony itself with rotting wood handrails and generally not a nice place to be and finally, dinning chairs which fell apart. However none of this ruined the holiday and we cannot fault the location which allowed us to hire a boat for the week and moor it at the house. And cannot reccomend enough the Ferry Inn pub on site- great meals, huge portions and well priced! Horning itself is a lively little village with several pubs and shops and is about a 15 minute stroll away. Nevertheless we won't be booking this property again!

The cottage was absolutely perfect for my fathers 90th birthday celebrations with plenty of room for everyone who visited over the weekend. The only disappointment was the balcony as the decking, table and chairs were covered with bird droppings! Apart from that everything else was spotless.
