This cottage was spoiled for us mainly because of the lack of care taken in the cleaning of it. The garden was overgrown with weeds, the duvets were stained - the king size one had to be changed by us because of a mass of red stains. Fortunately there was a spare but although better it still had stains. We have sent a detailed of all complaints to the owner.

Enjoyed a very good week at White Heathers. The accommodation was excellent in all respects and within a ten minute walk to the centre of Aviemore. I would not hesitate in spending a future holiday at White Heathers.

Great week in Aviemore. Lovely little town with nice places to drink and dine plus good outdoor retail outlets. The surrounding countryside is stunning and can be explored from your doorstep. There is a good cycle hire shop (Bothy Bikes) only a few minutes walk from the cottage. White Heathers is a short walk from the town centre easily reached using an unlit bridleway, so a small torch is very helpful. Over all very satisfied with cottage. There was ample crockery and cooking equipment. The towels and bedding were clean. My only negatives would be the shower screen could do with replacing as it is rather grubby and the cottage gets rather too warm on a night with the storage heaters.
