Ideally situated just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Settle, lovers of the countryside will enjoy walks directly from the doorstep with walking guides provided at the cottage, or strolls into town. There are gentle riverside rambles to be taken along the River Ribble and the more challenging Three Peaks to tempt the more intrepid walkers in the beautiful limestone uplands. The railway station in Settle is situated on the scenic Settle to Carlisle line which passes through some of the most scenic countryside the north of England has to offer, well worth a day out. Settle has restaurants, pubs and tea rooms, traditional shops and galleries to browse around; there is also a supermarket and a traditional weekly market. This is a superb base for walking and touring Ribblesdale and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
