"Withy Grove Farm is situated on the banks of the River Huntspill, in a quiet corner of Somerset. This busy working farm is a paradise for youngsters, where they can get a hands-on experience of life in the country.
The farm is home to a whole host of animals, which include chickens, cows, horses, over 100 breeding ewes, a friendly Shetland pony named Alf, and two adorable pygmy goats named Fudge and Snowy. The collection comprises five charming holiday homes (UKC534, UKC535, UKC536, UKC537 and UKC538) set around a courtyard and patio area, with the owners living on-site. These single-storey cottages all have access to the outdoor heated swimming pool and lush surrounding gardens, as well as a skittle alley and a well-equipped games room, complete with table tennis, a pool table and table football. For adults looking for a bit of company in the evening, there’s an on-site licensed bar/lounge that throws weekly quizzes and games of bingo. There’s also Somerset Evening once a week that’s ideal for trying Somerset cider and cheese over a game of Skittles.
From the splendours found in the city of Bath to the wide expanses of Exmoor, the farm provides a convenient base for touring all the area’s attractions. There’s the enchanting village of Glastonbury, famous for its tor; the beautiful city of Wells with its stunning cathedral; and the world-famous Cheddar Gorge and Caves all within easy reach of the property. For those of you who love to shop, Clarks Village is a must-visit: a major factory outlet in the nearby village of Street. The area is renowned for its coarse fishing, and licences can be obtained locally to fish in the Huntspill, Brue, King’s and Axe rivers as well as the Sedgemoor Drain and the South Drain. There’s so much to see and do at Withy Grove Farm, it’s sure to be a holiday to remember! Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles."
