A cosy, welcoming cottage exactly as we expected it to be from its description and photos. The Garden Room was the ideal place to sit when it was a bit breezy outside but also doubled up as a second greenhouse and log store which could be accessed by the owner and other guests. Fortunately no-one else needed any logs so we had the sole use of it during our stay. We wanted somewhere fairly remote and the School House certainly fitted that bill but not isolated and the owners were on hand to solve any problems we had. I would advise anyone to check out the location before booking, as I did, because the narrow country lanes, steep hills and hairpin bends may not be everyone's ideal motoring experience. We enjoyed watching the lambs playing and the amazing scenery all around the cottage. We also choose this cottage because it was dog friendly and our dog had plenty of walks along the lane and there was even a dust bin available for the disposal of poo bags. The owners are very keen to help the environment by doing the recycling them selves and have containers clearly marked for this purpose. The welcome/information booklet put together by the owners was the best I have ever seen, so much information including maps which could be taken out on walks, and instructions on how to work everything.

I loved it here. It was what I wanted to be in the middle of no where but only a small drive to local villages if needed. Cottage was really nice and will definitely be coming back.

The cottage itself was wonderful, the 6am farmers quad bike every morning was not, I get up early 2 enjoy the peace and quiet of sunrise but the farmer bet me every morning. The poly tunnels are an eyesore and could be removed as not In use. The shower wasn't great but wouldn't put me off going again. You can't see the sunset from the school house but you can if you walk on the lane a little.

Great place to stay, nice and remote which was perfect for a few days peace. Couldn’t ask for a cleaner and more well equipped cottage. Would recommend.

We wanted somewhere off the beaten track as we needed to get away due to our dog and fireworks, this fit the bill, private, quiet, cosy and relaxing , would stay again! Further the owner was welcoming, helpful and even organised tickets to a local music event for us which was a great evening Overall our stay was excellent
