The open air living museum of Beamish is a short walk away. Woodland View looks over to the woods from the rear and sitting in the peaceful conservatory is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the idyllic Beamish Valley, beautiful woodlands and cycle paths. Sustrans coast to coast cycle track runs right by the woods to the rear and there are delightful walks from the door. The surrounding villages are full of friendly country pubs. Only a 10 minute drive takes you to The Riverside International Cricket Ground; home of Durham Cricket team, and with the Metro Centre only 20 minutes and the coast around 30 minutes. The property is within a mile of Beamish golf course and under 2 miles to a municipal golf course. This is an ideal holiday location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt area. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

First time ever I have given 10 out of 10 - couldn't fault anything. Dog friendly home and local area.
We loved this property, exactly as described and so comfortable and spacious.The kitchen had every item required for self catering. The property is in an excellent position for visiting local attractions. We used the park and ride when visiting Durham and there is a regular bus service into the centre of Newcastle. We went to the Italian restaurant a short walk away and found it served delicious food. The garden is securely fenced so safe for children or a dog. We would stay in this property again and really can't find anything to criticise , a super property.
This bungalow was superb, a credit to it,s owners,we have stayed in over30 welcome accommodations, and this is in the top three. We will return again in the future.many thanks.

Our holiday was centred around Beamish Museum: the admission ticket enables multi-visits, so giving us time to enjoy most of the extensive contents, activities and exhibits.
However, we enjoyed discovering County Durham and found the Bungalow to provide great "at-home" relaxation.
