Huddersfield is a city rich in culture set on the edge of the wonderful Peak District National Park and South Pennines. The urban centre showcases fantastic Victorian architecture and emanates Bohemian style with independent shops, a colourful open market and a selection of museums and galleries blended with ample restaurants and bars. There are many canal walks around the town, several fine parks including Greenhead Park, and visitor attractions include the Kirklees Light Railway, Huddersfield Art Gallery, Castle Hill and Lawrence Batley Theatre.
Beyond Huddersfield, families will particularly enjoy the Eureka!, the national children’s museum, which is just 15 minutes away.
