A visit to this glorious area is not complete without a trip to the Galloway Forest Park, the UK’s largest, where there are hidden waterfalls, mountains, wildlife and lochs and on a clear night is one of the best places in the western world to view the stars. Beach 11 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
