This comes as no surprise as the cottage is over 400 years old and was formerly the Granary Barn to the old Farmhouse so it has many tales to tell and old character features some of which are still in place. Being just a 5 minute stroll away from the secluded beautiful sandy Llandanwg beach this has to be the perfect retreat for any time of the year. This detached stone cottage has a cosy warm and welcoming Lounge Diner having old beams and low ceiling together with the large Inglenook Fireplace with wood burner original quarry tiled floor deep silled windows and leather sofas whatever the weather its charm and warmth embrace you. The good sized kitchen with its Welsh Dresser has everything you will need during your stay. The bedrooms are all a good size and have original Cast Iron Fireplaces in two of them and all have Latch Brace doors. The garden is perfect for dining al fresco having the additional benefit of sea views looking over Shell Island and with views to the Rhinog Mountains. From the back garden you can actually see the Station sign this is a ’Train Stop’ where you need to put your hand out in order to catch the 2 carriage train which can then take you on days out to local towns like Harlech or Barmouth. Perfect cottage for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. Log burner made this cottage so cozy. Cottage is old but all facilities are modern and equipment in the kitchen are an amazing standard. Tiled floors in kitchen and living area are ideal when you take dogs. The train station is very close but you do not hear the trains. The trains are on time and reliable with many stops should you chose not to drive around

A comfortable, charming ancient cottage, with all mod cons, near to the beach. Well equipped, even for the dog!

Lovely cottage, beds very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, nice garden, nice towels and bedding. Very nice fireplace, with logs supplied. Highly recommended, would happily book again.

It’s a lovely cottage with tons of character, the beds were lovely and comfy with good quality towels and bed linen. The kitchen was so well equipped and great as we ate in most nights we also loved a wine and beer fridge. The garden was great for the dogs and lovely to sit in as it gets sunshine all day. The beach is a 5 min walk away and is lovely with amazing views and a beautiful sunset. The cottage is in a quiet location but close to the train line but you can hardly hear the trains but made you feel a little less cut off. The cottage was lovely and clean and full of character, we also loved the dog treats and dog bowls with towel as nice touch

Lovely cottage, great location. Super garden for the dog (enclosed and secure). The cottage had everything we needed including some lovely treats from the owners, for us and the dog. Would highly recommend.
