    Comfort and Equipment

We had a long weekend in Yew Tree Cottage and wish we had booked longer. Very comfortable with all the equipment you need and more. The surrounding area is lovely and easy to get to places of interest. So much information about what to do in the area is provided by the owner that you will never be stuck for things to do. Parking was not a problem on the opposite side of the street. Would definitely recommend to everyone without any reservations. I’m sure we’ll return.

We were very happy with our cottage very close to station and bus service was very good. The only downside was the local shop wasn't open so it was difficult to get everyday bits like milk and bread. we cannot fault the cottage nice quiet location. would recommend.

Lovely cottage although glad we didn’t take the dog as the yard was too small to be letting her out.

Yew Tree Cottage is a nice cottage but due to the rain we had a leakage in the cottage. Because of that the router did not work anymore and we had no wifi. With two daughters of 23 and 16 years old wifi is one of the essentials, especially in a rainy week when you spend relatively more time in the cottage. That is the only criticism I have, we quite liked the quirkiness of the cottage. The rest of the equipment was in order.

Yew Tree Cottage is delightful. Full of character, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Big, comfortable bed in a large bedroom. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly want to make the holiday stress-free. The little courtyard garden was full of flowers and a peaceful place to sit after a busy day. Although we had to park in the road we never had a problem finding a spot to park. Lovely walks right on the doorstep along the river and although there isn't a shop in the village, Corbridge is just minutes away with a great selection of shops. Perfect location for visiting this part of beautiful Northumberland. Great pub in walking distance.

This cottage is perfectly situated for great days out - Beamish, the coast and the Scottish Borders are all within an hours drive and there is an abundance of local attractions to entertain and interest you. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable and Sheila has obviously put an immense amount of thought into ensuring every little detail is attended to in order to ensure you have a fabulous break. Great value for money.
