Yew Tree Cottage is a charming three-bedroom thatched cottage located in the pretty seaside village of Branscombe. This quintessential detached holiday home showcases a large front garden with a 500-year-old yew tree, a cosy living room with a wood burner, free parking for one car and Branscombe beach just an 8-minute drive away. Branscombe is known as being one of the prettiest unspoilt villages in Devon, ideally located on the Jurassic Coastline which is a World Heritage Site and is part of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
As you head inside, you will instantly feel at home in the living room, which is furnished with comfortable seating, a Freeview TV and a wood burner (the first bundle of logs are provided). This is the perfect space for winding down after a busy day exploring the coastline or for planning out those up-and-coming adventures. The kitchen diner is well equipped with everything needed to prepare and enjoy a homecooked meal, and this then leads to the shower room. Head upstairs to discover the three bedrooms, the first has a double bed and is open plan with the staircase. This then leads through to the second bedroom which has twin beds, leading through to the third bedroom with a single bed. In front of the property is a pretty garden with an outdoor seating area, a great spot for enjoying your morning coffee in the sunshine. Due to the layout of the first floor, the property is only suitable for 4 adults and 1 child. Please note care to be taken - some low beams and ceilings, a narrow and steep staircase and there is a steep slope from the parking area across the lawn to the front door.
Positioned close to the National Trust meadows and local attractions, there is a timeless magic about Branscombe, and the property is just a stone’s throw away from a renowned inn. The beautiful fishing village of Beer is just a 10-minute drive away, and here you will discover the famous Horseshoe Beach and the local fishermen bringing in their catch. Enjoy picturesque walks along the coastal path to Sidmouth in one direction, and Beer and Seaton in the other. Local attractions include Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama, Seaton Tramway, Crealy, Bicton Gardens and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth.
