Clear Sky Lodge Park is set in 45 acres of woodland just a mile from Kielder village in the Northumberland National Park and close to Kielder Water, Kielder Observatory and Kielder Castle. Rural and remote, yet right in the middle of things!
Perfectly located for an idyllic country break, surrounded by woodland and with walking and cycle trails from your doorstep. This is the ideal location to get away from it all and re-engage with nature in the regions stunning countryside. If you’re feeling less adventurous why not sit back and soak in your outdoor hot tub and take in the views of this tranquil setting. A haven for birdwatchers and animal lovers, Clear Sky Lodge Park has had sightings of a golden eagle visiting from Scotland as well as local deer and red squirrels in the local forests.
Clear Sky Lodge Park is perfectly named. The dark skies embrace you after the sun dips below the tree line adding another dimension to this spectacular location.

| Other This is a review based on the fact we are both pensioners and wanted to get away from it all. The lodge has everything you want including free wifi but your mobile phone might not work. The television is very small and difficult to watch. You wont be able to take a walk in the woods easily from here or walk to the lakeside. Kielder water is a five mile drive away where you can do that. A little garage in Kielder village sells bare essentials, otherwise for groceries it is a drive to the co-op in Bellingham about 20 miles away or Morrisons in Jedburgh about 30 miles away down single track roads. I am told Tesco or Morrisons can deliver. The observatory and bird of prey centre are both must sees, you will have an eagle owl land on your hand and other birds of prey. Watch real golden eagles soaring in the sky from eagles view I have already booked again for next year. Don't rely upon Kielder Castle for any kind of entertainment and the Anglers Arms is a no go I am told, the chef walked out not having been paid he said and the kitchens were filthy- a death trap he said. It seemed to be closed most of the time. There is a small grocery store at Kielder water. The lodge itself could do with a handrail either side of the steps up to it, the steps are high. Be careful upon approaching the lodge to park the car on the gravel you could ground your car on the steps. A small set of draws in the twin bedroom would be a huge convenience.

Kirsty Wilkinson County Durham | Other We had an amazing time at clear sky lodge park, we did not want to leave. The lodge was beautifully presented and well equipped with everything you need. I was very surprised at what was provided, toiletries, cleaning items and towels. The hot tub was amazing and very enjoyable whilst lying and looking up at the stars and even saw some shooting stars/ meteor shower. There is some lovely walking trails nearby and really enjoyed exploring. The owners were very friendly and made sure to check we had everything we needed. This has been the best break away we have ever had! Will be booking up to return next summer.
