Allerton Holiday Park is a quiet and relaxing holiday base ideally located for exploring the numerous attractions of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Harrogate, the Dales and Moors.

This park offers a wealth of scenic and historic sites close by, including Knaresborough and Old Mother Shipton’s Cave. Just a short drive away is The Lightwater Valley Theme Park, and among the many castles and ruins to be found in the area are Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle. The ancient city of York, with its superb shopping, famous Minster, Railway Museum and fascinating Jorvik Viking Centre is easily accessible.

| Other What a wonderful stay we had recently, we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of caravan, looking newer than the photos. The campsite itself is lovely and quiet, and located brilliantly for York, Knaresborough, Wetherby and Harrogate. The caravan was spotless, well equipped, and spacious enough, bring washing up liquid and a tea towel! The bathroom and kitchen were modern and comfortable too. We had a warm, friendly welcome from the staff who showed us round and then another member of staff lent us some hair conditioner when we had forgotten ours to save us going to the shop. Thank you!There isn’t much for children, a small park which my son was fed up with quite quickly and where we were on the campsite there wasn’t much space or good grounds for riding his scooter or playing football. This didn’t matter as we went out lots but something to bear in mind if you’re staying around the park. We’d definitely recommend, excellent value and would stay here again if all the caravans are of the same standard!
