On arrival it looks like a nice family place, once in our chalet, noticed not cleaned to any sort of standard, dirty tissues in child’s bedroom and on toilet floor, deodorant left from previous guest so cleaner must of been to lazy to do the basics like check under the beds, dust on every high surface, mould on tiles in bathroom, around every window, mould around front door and under sink by kitchen utensils provided, shelf in kitchen cupboard dangerously unstable and rusty screws on cupboard hinges by cups and plates, a smell of pee in one of the rooms and was told that it’s the air freshener used as if I’m stupid enough not to know what pee smells like also the toilet pipe work poorly maintained, if maintained at all, leaks and smells, was told that lack of staff has resulted in unclean chalet on arrival, no excuse, simply no effort put in by the cleaner was more the fact. Ate at the boat house (restaurant on site) views are nice but even though it wasnt busy they made a mistake with the order, my fiancée ordered a chicken burger and was served grilled chicken, everything was dry and over cooked, my little girls fish finger and veg over cooked and veg resembled pond scum, my Caesar salad had no iceberg lettuce but instead only rocket (which makes it a rocket salad with chicken and bacon not a Caesar salad) £27 for disgusting food and no offer of anything for the hassle and rubbish we were served instead was told that they are understaffed again (a re-occurring excuse) this shouldn’t stop the COOK from slowing orders coming in and concentrating on quality after all it isn’t hard to use an oven, microwave and fryer in service, we were booked in for 5 days, Monday to Friday, we stayed Monday night and left Tuesday morning, I didn’t make a big deal of it as i didn’t want anything they would have offered, as the excuses each time were just to dismiss that the quality they provide is in fact no quality, you put my child’s health at risk with mould spors and dust inhalation as we both have allergies to this. The duvet, pillows and blankets provided smell musky and damp and realised the Tuesday morning before we left that it was because of poor ventilation and condensation build up in the chalet , but housekeeping obviously only wash the linen and nothing else, yet again simple standards neglected. When I approached the receptionist about leaving and explaining why and telling her what the previous staff had said about being understaffed she seemed confused as if they were not understaffed so I can only presume from this that what I was previously told were lies just to try and dismiss that people quite simply aren’t doing there jobs properly.
