In all the years I have been holidaying,( I am 66), this is the worst accommodation that I have ever had the mis-fortune to stay in. The outside of these terraced chalets blocks are drab, run down, dilapidated and depressing. They are well passed their 'sell by date' and need demolishing.I didn't realize this sort of place, like something from the 'Hi De Hi' t.v.series still existed.I only paid for a standard Bronze two bedroom chalet, but I didn't expect it to be sub-standard.
The grouting between the bathroom tiles was mouldy, with a rotten piece of skirting board near the bath. The bed settee was in poor condition, uncomfortable to sit on and only fit for the tip,no way would I want to sleep on it,nothing like the one shown in the brochure photo.
The dining chairs were grubby and stained and the chalet had a bad smell to it.
The brochure pictures in general, are very misleading and do not show the true run down state of the chalets and furniture, from my experience.
To make things even worse, the roofs of the chalet blocks were infested with nesting seagulls, constantly being fed with chips and other food, by some holiday makers. This resulted in dozens of seagulls swooping down, screaming and fighting for the food, amongst the chalets, leaving seagull droppings on the chalet walls, windows and pathways.Seagulls are known to carry diseases and could be stopped from nesting on the chalet roofs, with the use of netting and spikes. The fact they aren't, shows the uncaring nature of the management here.
The view from the rear kitchen window, overlooked a car park, and for most of the holiday, we had a mini-bus parked across it, about 3 feet away.
The view from the front window, was of another ugly block of terraced chalets, about 15 feet away. There are no nets on the windows of the chalets,a pathway runs past the front door,so no privacy, unless you keep the curtains pulled all the time.
The chalet was otherwise clean with fresh clean sheets on the beds.
The only opening windows in each room, are small high level windows, so the only way out in the event of a fire, would be through the front door, there is no other escape route.
The position of the park is however ideal, with spectacular views at the very front of the park.
It is terrible state of the chalets which spoil it, most certainly the Bronze.
I could never recommend this place and will certainly not stay there again.
Very disappointing holiday park.
