The layout of the caravan was very good - with a lovely large full width double bedroom, but unfortunately the mattress was extremely uncomfortable - very lumpy, and did not offer any support. After the first night of disturbed sleep, I used one of the single beds in the second bedroom. There was no curtain on the front door, and it would have been nice to have had some privacy curtains or Venetian blinds too.
The caravan was not well equipped - no bin liners, no cleaning products, no dish cloths, no washing up liquid, no bread bin, no bread board, no towel rail or clothes horse to dry towels, no anti-slip mat or floor mat in the bathroom, no bin in the bathroom, no frying pan. All of these I would expect. I didn't expect to have had to bring half my kitchen and bathroom products with me on holiday!
There were only 4 forks, but 8 settings for other cutlery, plates, cups, etc - again I have always found an itinerary in previous years but there was no itinerary in this caravan.
Additionally, there was no heating in the caravan other than the main gas fire in the living room, which was quite difficult to use - the ignition knob stuck so while it had ignited, it did not heat up the elements - it was only by fiddling about with it that I managed to pull it back and turn it to heat up.
The shower was dirty on arrival with hairs in the plughole. The shower hose was split so sprayed all over me when I turned the shower on - I reported this to reception the following morning and it was replaced that day.
A couple of the hinges were loose in the kitchen crockery cupboard, and under oven housing. There were a few window handle stays missing so the windows did not shut properly causing a draft in the winds that were quite strong that week.
The window frames were a bit grubby.
The microwave above the cooker I felt was not the best place for it - I am only 5ft tall and found it very difficult to get anything out of the microwave safely.
