The park was nice, not rural at all, could hear the road noise constantly throughout the stay. That is my own fault for not checking that it wasn't located directly off of an a road. Traffic wasn't great on the road either so spent a lot of time waiting to get in and out of the park. Sirens go up and down the road constantly throughout day and night. Not very restful in my opinion. Having said that the entertainment was brilliant for kids, the pool is great, good addition of all small soft play in the amusements, nice couple of play parks although during our stay we noted that there were signs saying slides were out of use...seemingly for no apparent reason, and kids were there using them anyway! The restaurant was horrendous, very very long waits for food, lots of people complaining, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all, 6 tables max, even though the manager insisted that was the reason for over an hour long wait for food. Not ideal with small toddlers. Once food did arrive the portions were tiny, husband order a full English and got one sausage, one bacon, one egg, about 5 chips an eyeful of beans and one slice of toast....absolute rip off for £11, needless to say we didn't return to the restaurant. The takeaway outlets (pizza and chip shop) were very good, fast service, decent value for money and good quality food. Would we return? Im not so sure, the noise and the poor restaurant were off putting, the staff were friendly, and there is a lot to do in the area. We had partridge caravan, which was fine, a tad small, but clean enough and did the job.
