The woodlands are a great place for relaxation and recreation. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a woodland walk, or get a hands on experience at the woodland centre, offering nature trails and courses in all things bushcraft.

Why not practice your golf swing or have a lesson with the on site pro at the Golf Academy complete with 9-hole, par 3 golf course and driving range.

Gemma | Couple The site itself is lovely, its well maintained with modern facilities. The lodges and caravans are not on top of each other, but nicely spaced out for privacy. It's set in some woodland so very pretty for winter walks. Bashley as a town and New Milton are ok, but not really holiday destinations - not much in the way of decent restaurants and pubs. If you venture a bit further Milford on Sea is lovely. It's been a long time since i've stayed in a static caravan, back then it was freezing but not this one! It was lovely and warm and felt more like a lodge than a static. We had the hot tub which was a great addition, although frustratingly one night there was an issue with it, and no one available to call to fix it. The caravan itself was spacious and modern, with 2 bathrooms (which i thought was overkill as it only had 2 bedrooms). It had a fab american fridge/ freezer and dishwasher but the kitchen equipment was basic to say the least. No measuring jugs, and just a handful of glasses. The decor was very beige and didn't feel at all unique or homely. I imagine exactly as it was produced and probably the same as very other on the site. The facilites on the site were modern and clean, the reception team were a little bit dizzy but friendly enough. The caravan had a seal sticker on the edge to show it had been cleaned to covid standards, however on entering it was immediately obvious that it hadn't been hoovered. There were crumbs in the kitchen and the carpet had bits all over it. I called reception and they immediately sent someone to rectify it. The welcome brochure was very generic, and could have been for any site. I felt that it would have been nice to see recommendations, places to walk etc as you would get at a hotel. It would take a small amount of effort yet make guests feel a little bit special. All in all, it was a nice stay and i would recommend to others.

The Isle of Wight is closer than you think

Located off the southern coast of England, this stunning island can be accessed via several different ways from mainland England whether you are travelling by car, bike, or on foot. Whichever way you travel, you’ll arrive on the island in an hour or less.

Wightlink operate ferries between Lymington and Yarmouth, which is located on the west side of the island and takes just 40-minutes. The ferry runs frequently and can accommodate cars, bikes, foot passengers and motor homes. From Yarmouth port, it is just a 40-minute onward drive to Woodside Bay and Woodside Coastal. Wightlink ferries also run from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, located in the north of the island, with the journey taking just 45-minutes, and accommodating vehicles and foot passengers. From Fishbourne, it is just a 13-minute onward drive to Woodside Bay and Woodside Coastal.

Not taking a vehicle? Wightlink operate a high-speed Catamaran for foot passengers only, which runs from Portsmouth to Ryde and takes just 20-minutes to reach the island. Once you’ve reached the Isle of Wight, hop on the bus or grab a taxi to make your way to Woodside Bay and Woodside Coastal.

Red Funnel operate the ferry service running between Southampton and East Cowes, on the east side of the island. The ferry takes cars, bikes, foot passengers and motor homes, and the journey takes around 60 minutes, with services running 24 hours each day. From East Cowes, it is a 20-minute onward journey to Woodside Bay and Woodside Coastal. Red Funnel also operate a foot passenger service which runs from Southampton to West Cowes and takes around 25 minutes.

For a more unique journey, you can also travel by hovercraft with Hovertravel services. This is a foot passenger service and takes just 10 minutes, running between Portsmouth and Ryde.
