As with all the previous reviews, Slate House Lodges are brilliant. We stayed in the Valley View Lodge and it was everything we expected and more! The surrounding are in a peaceful and tranquil environment. The Lodge was fully equipped with all the amenities. The lodge was surprisingly well insulated and rarely put the heating on even when it was quite cold outside. The upper floor reading room is a dream and so relaxing. The master bedroom balcony overlooking the valley is amazing! lots of wildlife around.
We didn't feel like we were completely disconnected from the world as there is very good Wifi.
The hot tub was far the best experience whilst staying at the lodge. We used it several times during our stay and was really appreciated after a strenuous walk to Mt. Snowdon summit. The hot tub is equipped with Bluetooth speakers so we relaxed with our favourite songs.
Only thing to be wary about is the last couple of miles drive up the hill to get to the lodge. It is narrow and parts of the road turn into a dirt track, however, this won't put us off coming here again. We will definitely be returning.
