The location is very rural, on a small site. No views and the accommodations are quite tightly packed. The furniture and fittings appeared relatively new. There was limited cutlery items, 6 knives, forks, spoons etc, and a small number of kitchen tools (serving spoon, slice etc,) There were 6 of everything (dinner plates, side plates, cups, mugs, cups/saucers) Frying pan was non stick but there wasn't any non-stick tongs to pick up/turn items cooked. We don't like to use regular kitchen tools/cutlery on non stick pans, but had no choice. There is no toaster so you have to use the grill on the cooker, no electric kettle (whistling kettle provided). The Oakmere caravan is designed for 6 people however upon arrival I mentioned there were only 4 dining chairs and asked if there were others we could use, but was told no, they only came with 4 chairs! We resorted to bringing in a plastic chair from the outside deck to use, which was not ideal. The main bedroom was OK, but as mentioned on a previous review, the 4 twin beds in the other bedrooms are not really suited to adults as they are narrow and short. Decor was pleasant. There is extremely limited phone reception in the park, we resorted to walking about outside to see if we could make calls, which most of the time we couldn't. With this in mind we were hoping that the internet would be better, but it was abysmally slow, when we were able to connect. In this day and age reasonably good internet should be a given, so some boosters for the signal might be appropriately placed around the park to improve this. The high points were the cleanliness of the accommodation, decor and the "newish" furnishings, the low points are the lack of internet, phone reception, a better selection of kitchen items, more dining chairs, small secondary beds. We rent holiday homes practically every year, but unfortunately this was more of a disappointment than a delight.
