Things to do in Fife on your Scottish getaway

Go exploring with the children on a fun family break...
Fife has a plethora of activities and attractions for families, making for a memorable and engaging trip for all ages. For an exciting day out for children big and small, the Scottish Deer Centre is the perfect spot. It's home to a wide variety of animals including 12 species of deer, plus animals that have been lost to the Scottish countryside, such as wolves, lynx, wildcats and the European Brown Bear. The centre is open year-round and includes daily feeding talks, falconry shows, and both indoor and outdoor play areas. Other ideas for family trips include exploring the historic town of St. Andrews, having a go at watersports on Elie Beach, or discovering the hiking trails in Lomond Hills Regional Park. After a busy day out and about, head back to your hot tub lodge or self-catering holiday park and make the most of spacious accommodation equipped with immaculate facilities like an onsite swimming pool, restaurant or spa.

Soak up lovely views and scenic walks along the coast...
The county of Fife is a rambler's paradise, boasting the longest coastal path in Scotland. At 117 miles, the Fife Coastal Path offers spectacular views, contributing to the area's reputation as a kingdom of natural beauty. When it comes to hitting the beach, you have a choice of several stunning sandy shores. Leven East Beach is a wide sandy beach in Leven, a picturesque spot that includes a promenade, open green spaces, a golf course, a skateboard park, an outdoor gym and a children's play area. It has magnificent views across the Firth of Forth and is a perfect place to tuck into a picnic overlooking the shores. Other popular beaches include St. Andrews West Sands, famous as the filming location for "Chariots of Fire", and the family-friendly Burntisland Beach, which offers amenities for kids like a play area and a park. If the Scottish climate isn't behaving, our cosy holiday lodges can offer the perfect respite, with log fires and private hot tubs allowing you to continue your holiday, whatever the weather.

Discover history in the Kingdom of Fife...
The historic county of Fife is nicknamed the "Kingdom of Fife", owing to its historical significance and royal connections. There is a wealth of historic wonders to discover in the region, from the magnificent Falkland Palace and the impressive interiors of Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, to the coastal grounds of St. Andrews Castle and the medieval gem of Aberdour Castle and Gardens. One of Scotland's most iconic landmarks is the Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that spans the Firth of Forth, connecting North Queensferry in Fife to South Queensferry in Edinburgh. Our accommodation is located in prime areas, making it easy to explore the county's incredible surroundings. What's more, we have a range of properties to suit groups of all sizes and guests of all tastes, from friends and families to couples and solo travellers.
