I hadn't stayed in a caravan for nearly 30 years and was pleasantly surprised at the facilities. The central heating was on all the time so it was cosy and warm and seemed well insulated. Loads of hot water too. Full sized cooker and superb shower, and there was an en suite too.

Good quality van considering we had pets with us.

Clean, comfortable and warm, no complaints at all and would stay there again. Excellent value.

Much better than the average "haven" fayre. My friends laughed when I said I had booked a caravan..... Who was laughing at 11.00pm Saturday night when we were sat watching TV in "our" front room.

We have stayed at Allerton park two to three times each year for the past 4 years and will continue to do so as we visit our family and lived in Yorkshire for over 35 years.

Stayed here with group of 16 between 2 lodges and 2 caravans for an anniversary of a wedding we had in the castle the year before. The location and lodges are nice and the new lodges have been done to a good standard having been replaced early this year. We will not staying here again however due to the poor customer service received from staff on site. We found the staff here unpleasant and rude to say the least. We had an issue with deposit for the keys for the lodges and found all our group have paid inconsistent amounts and when highlighted were made to feel like we had made the mistake. Not happy with how we were spoken to and dealt with and for this reason will not be returning. We will take our custom elsewhere as there are other places to stay with good customer service for equal money.

Red Cedar caravan was in a good location within the park as it didn't overlook any other caravan.

Helpfulness of staff
Ideal location. Ripon,Skipton, Thirsk and York a short drive.
Whilst I have given a score of 10 for Location and surroundings, this is related to the area of Yorkshire as there is so much to see and do within a few miles. However, there was nothing to do on the caravan park but that was ok for us as we were either out or playing cards and board games with the grandchildren.
Enjoyed our stay very much and so did our dogs. Good central location for touring the Noth York Moors and visiting Knaresborough , Harrogate and other towns.
Clean, comfortable and warm, excellent value for money.
Wedding at the close by castle to attend, whilst most of the other guests not wishing to drive had to wait long periods for Taxi's or their coach transport back to hotels as far away as Wetherby, we simply walked for 10 minutes down the lane back to the site to our exceptional static caravan. Superb food served at the Pub around 15 minutes walk away albeit down a dark lane with no path, - Hi Vis would have been handy and then crossing the very busy A59 - Masons Inn - we went there friday on the recommendation of the lady who met us at reception. Close to Knaresborough which is a lovely small town although we did not have long to hang around on the saturday with a wedding to goto. The site is lovely and secluded, a real gem away from society and being busy city dwellers, we said what a great way to spend a weekend out of sight, out of mind. I would like to book a lodge and get a family get together arranged where we can just sit out next summer, have a BBQ and play cards with nothing to annoy to us other than the smell of the countryside. I really felt for the other guests at the castle who had not investigated this properly and had booked rooms in low cost hotels, and paid more than us. We booked Friday to Monday knowing we could not stay Monday night for 3 adults and paid less than most of the gathering had paid for the saturday night. Blinding result.
We, together with our family and friends, stayed at Allerton Park during our wedding weekend in September. We got married at Allerton Castle.
We had a fantastic weekend and we were very impressed by the very high standard of the lodges and caravans. The staff at the park were fantastic and very helpful, making our wedding weekend stress free. The accommodation is very modern, very comfortable and surprisingly spacious for a large party! The location to the Castle is perfect and the park is set in beautiful surroundings. We would like to say a massive thank you and we will definitely be booking again.

Lovely caravan. well equipped, but too close to the motorway so quite noisy from the road. Not much to do in immediate vicinity so much time spent in the car
Fantastic location for exploring Yorkshire , we stayed in a lodge and the facilities in there were excellent , three bedrooms one ensuite , large bathroom and a lounge and kitchen with all mod cons , staff were really helpful , really enjoyed our week there .

A great little camp site. Very dog friendly, with a lovely field for dog walking on site. Everyone was friendly. Brilliant location - not far from York, and also to the beautiful countryside. A shop would have made it even better.
Confirmed guest, 2015-08-23
Very clean caravan and well maintained. Quiet site with few facilities, but right on doorstep for York and Harrogate. Lovely pubs and restaurants for eating out. Would certainly visit again.
