The surroundings are beautiful but the gnats ate us alive. We were unable to sit out and had to spray ourselves and the log cabin all the time. We had problems with the cooker which required a replacement gas bottle and the cleanliness of the log cabin was not up to the usual standards we are use to. Be prepared for very poor TV signal, no phone signal or internet and about 35 minutes to the nearest civilisation, though the trip to and from is outstanding. We would not visit this site again, nor would we recommend this site in the insect biting season.
Linda and Sean where very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The park was spotless and the views where perfect.
The cabin was very well equipped with every thing you need also very cosy and clean.
Throughout our stay anything we needed they where happy to help, also very knowledgeable about the area and places to visit with the kids. We would would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is after a lovly peacefull break.
We will 100% be back to visit again and enjoyed every day.
Linda and Sean are the perfect hosts and even lent us some frozen ice packs to keep our food cool on the way home :) We will be back with them!
An excellent base for walking and very peaceful. It would be improved if you could get wifi in the chalet as we had to go out in the rain and sit outside the laundry.
Thank you, it was a very good holiday.
A quiet relaxing stay with no mobile signal - lovely. It truly is a place for chilling out as this is very remote area. However make sure you pack the midge spray as they are numerous and bite, although not quite as vicious as the west coast midges.
An absolutely amazing place if you wanted to relax like i did. I will be booking again very soon
Cabin not been cleaned, beds broken needs updating
I personally would not stay there again, not impressed with staff, grubby caravan and stained sheets, laundry room left a lot to be desired, the fact that you had to pay for use of the washing machines, was not a cheap holiday expected better.
We would defintely stay and Angecroft again - the accommodation was spotless and well equipted, the staff on site were extremely helpful - there if you needed them but not is your face.
The location is quite remote but that is explained clearly on the website and is what we were after.
Than you for a lovely break :)
Wonderful away from everywhere holiday park. Stunning location for wildlife, peace and quiet and walking.
The location was quiet and in the middle of a lovely area. Very handy dog walk across the road. The park was neat and very tidy.
we had a lovely holiday very quiet but thats why we went there the shop could sell more but the staff were very friendly we would go back
Very peacefull area, Remote but gorgeous.
This turned out to be a lovely family break. Weather not brilliant but certainly no fault of the staff who were very friendly. Not much to do and very isolated.
Overall a nice area to visit but a little quiet.
Very peaceful setting. Not much to do in immediate vicinity for kids. Great for quiet getaway. Beautiful scenery. Car essential. Wifi available in shop area and also is some rooms of lodge. Well stocked shop with all essentials 5 mins drive away. Mobile reception very poor but can be a godsend ! Perfect for quiet short break to get away from it all. Take your own folding chairs for veranda as none supplied. Cross keys pub had great food about 15 mins drive away . Good base to explore edinburgh and borders .
