Lovely lodge with double height living area with glass wall made you feel part of the forest! Sofa would be a little small for 4 adults but was fine to cosy up a a family

Although the lodge was very comfortable, two showers heads were hanging off the wall, these were reported after the first day, but when we left, they still had not been repaired.

Lovely cabin , bedrooms and bathrooms very nice. Settee a little small for 4 people . A welcome pack with bit of milk and tea would of been nice after long journey, which we have had in all other cabin holidays, there's also no did player if you were thinking of having a film night
country roads a bit of a nightmare in bad weather, Whitby well worth a visit but it's about40minutes from York
Staff very friendly and helpful, hot tub nice and relaxing and well cared for.

Our second time staying at keldy cabins this year. We came with our two children aged nine and two. Superb accommodation that just feels so cosy and relaxing. The staff are wonderful and are very helpful. We will definitely be returning next year.

We had a wonderful stay, so much so we hoped to add an extra night, but it was fully booked, so we couldn't! The cabin was in excellent condition, and one minor fault was rectified within 2 hours! Staff we so helpful; offering to deliver things, helping with activities; knowledge of the local area and offering deals. There were a few activities, it would be nice to see more, but the local area offered lots too, so we were well occupied, children, adults and dog alike. We loved the dogs on leads policy, this was helpful for us.
Had a lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings, having no phone signal is a bit of a bind but getting the entertainment package and having a cool phone app sorted that issue out. I love the area and this was our second stay at Keldy, in general I loved every minute!

Lodge was beautiful. Just a shame we weren't there longer to enjoy it. Will definitely be back
Overall holiday was very good, our lodge was not as private as the pictures led us to believe. Some lodges where more secluded than others and could do with some screening/ privacy around the hot tubs as they are all at the front of the lodges in full view.
Room service delivered to your door was very good and food was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff and plenty of helpful info available in the lodge on arrival. Very relaxing holiday in a peaceful location.

Value for Money - We never received the robes for Hot Tub, Cleanliness was very poor, under floor heating not working, Fire Alarms very sensitive considering it was cold and log burner was needed, however Alarms kept going off due to the heat - not smoke!
The Lodge we had was near entrance and exit to the Park so you were looked at by everyone entering and exiting!
We paid for the Wifi package, which was very good, unless you wanted to watch a movie and then use the Internet, then you had a problem as the movie knocked off the internet - very strange!
Whilst we never spoke to Keldy regarding Robes and cleanliness directly so maybe we should have, however we were only there for the weekend and thought this was very poor considering the amount we spent for a weekend away, we decided to leave on the Sunday.
We have stayed at various lodges and we thought this was very poor in relation to Deer Park in Cornwall and Piperdam in Dundee!

Had a really good time

Cabins too close together. Hot tubs were too in view little privacy. Lovely site and staff were very helpful but I didn't find it value for money compared to other locations I have stayed in - eg Sherwood Forest cabins

Thoroughly enjoyed the break! Excellent for dogs!Great location for the Moors and the Cabins were clean and well equipped!
I think it depends which lodge you stay in as to how you rate your overall 'Forest Holiday' as some of them are not near the Forest and are in an open space surrounded by other cabins. Thankfully we were in a lodge in one of the forested areas. The facilities are limited but the reception area is nice, and we loved the Ranger talk we went on. Be aware that the family cycle trail is not suitable for families as the first two miles are up a steep hill! However the site is very peaceful and we loved watching the wildlife in the evenings.

Fantastic break away with our 6 year old . Lovely and chilled . Had two great days out one in whitby and one in York. Defo be back . X
Log cabins require updating and hot tub was not big enough for our party of 5

Stayed for a week and wanted peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, which is what we got. Yes, the cabins are a bit remote but that is what we wanted and within a short drive in Pickering we found 2supermarkets and shops where we found everything we needed. Only criticism is the cost, our stay was very expensive and the limited supplies in the shop were ridiculously expensive. The fish and chip van was a nice touch on the Friday evening, we were able to sit in the courtyard with a glass of wine and relax. The new inn in nearby cropton was great, we had a meal there and my husband did the brewery tour and we can highly recommend it. Overall a lovely place, we would happily return and recommend to family and friends.

Lush, fertile countryside, pretty market towns and a treasure trove of historic interest are all within easy reach of our holiday parks in the Vale of York. And whichever park you choose, you’ll be ideally located for exploring the ancient city of York. Rich in history, dominated by the magnificent Minster, York is brimming with great attractions. Within its superbly preserved city walls, you’ll find quaint shopping streets and fascinating museums. Be sure to see (and smell!) life under the Vikings at the Jorvik Museum and train enthusiasts will love the National Railway Museum.North of the city, and within a short drive of all our holiday parks, the Vale of York’s gently rolling countryside is the backdrop to traditional market towns like Thirsk – home to the popular World of James Herriot. Make time to visit Castle Howard, of TV’s Brideshead Revisited fame, and Eden Camp for an evocative insight into civilian life during the Second World War. And from Pickering, you can board the North York Moors Steam Railway for a trip across the ‘Heartbeat’ moolands to Whitby.
