Mortonhall, awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, offers you the best of both worlds from its setting within Edinburgh’s city boundary in a private and secluded 200 acre country estate. In a sheltered position with southerly views to the Pentland Hills, it is only 4 miles into the city and within easy reach of the city attractions. Accessed easily by all major routes and with excellent bus routes until late evening, to and from the city. The Arboretum hosts specimen trees from all parts of the world and offers delightful secluded walks. The Stable Bar and the restaurant, with its sunny courtyard, extends good Scottish hospitality – including a wide selection of Scottish beers and fine malt whiskies and serving good traditional Scottish fayre.

The camping was very clean and there were different activity to do moreover there was a very useful shop for basic needs
I stayed for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation and surroundings. The park was adjacent to good bridleways and very handy for dog walks directly from the caravan door. We found the bus service into the city very convenient too.
Good location in pleasant surroundings ,within easy reach of Edinburgh by bus. The stop is within walking distance of the park.
The only complaint we had on this visit was the Stable Bar management we wanted a quiet drink after our day out and was informed that ALL seats were reserved and therefore could not sit down as the bar was virtually empty we decided to give it a miss and walked out.
Would recommend this Holiday to anyone:)
accommodation was first class. but on a slope.
Excellent on all the above
Room heating was not appropriate. It is a Time based system. once switched on it was getting off after an hour or two and as the rooms have open ventilators, temp used to drop immediately after heater getting switched off. either they should close the ventilation or keep the heater on continuous control.
Limited cooking equipment,i.e bowls etc,but not a major issue.
Accommodation absolutely excellent. We actually asked for the same caravan on this occassion.
Best caravan I've ever stayed in.
Lovely clean site in beautiful surroundings and only a short drive into the centre of Edinburgh. Our new caravan was clean, tidy and had everything we needed.
Excellent site, easy access to Edinburgh city centre via bus stop at the top of the site driveway. Very clean, lovely walks, nice quiet peaceful atmosphere. Would definately recommend.
We have stayed her on numerous occasions and will continue to do so in the future, great location and feels like home from home
Fabulous location very easy to get to Edinburgh and lots of sightseeing within reach. Lovely quiet site with pub serving excellent food.
