All breaks for all arrivals
On arrival at caravan no hot water, on checking pilot light, not lit, and trying to ignite it would not stay on, called out duty warden, who also could not get it to work, u would think those items was tested before arrival. After all it is gas we are taking about.
Had to be moved to an upgrade that night but to check with office, next day to c if we could stay there. Next day no problems rest of hols ok.
good 4 day break and 4 days of sun made it even beter
The caravan was filthy! Took 5 buckets of water to get the floor clean, also while we were there the water was turned off from 4pm-10pm which I was not told about when I booked and is not very convienient with a 9 month old baby! Other than that the stay was brilliant and would possibly go back still not 100% sure.
Caravan fine clean, but carpet was stained. Shop didn't sell alcohol and club was dated.perfect location
There was no tourist information at the reception which I would have expected. If you wanted to go to the pool you had to book. Reception didn't have a timetable for when it was open. We did visit the bar but it was so full that we just came straight back out and I don't know where the 'bistro/restaurant' was.
Enjoyed our time in Southport, the area had plenty to see and enjoy
An attractive pleasant site and an ideal base close to many attractions.
Potential to be a really good site, however facilities need to be improved and quite a few old units, close together which makes the site look tired. Needs a proper playing field for kids and another for dog walking - dog walking areas way too far away from caravans
Caravan very nice, but kitchen equipment very sparse and basic, not even a chopping board.
Facilities felt dated and run down.
Caravans seemed to be squashed in and too many of them, parking at the side of ours was very tight.
Friendly and helpful staff in reception, the bar and cafe could do with updating.
Really good n clean, great for kids
First Time on a caravan site and enjoyed it the locals we great staff amazing fantastic for dog with long big walks parks for kids. Even booked for next year.
Could do with better signage for opening times of bar ect.
But I can see a lot of work is being done on the roads and camping areas.
Caravan was great just what we needed.
Recently stayed here and loved it. So much so we enquired about buying a caravan on site. The staff were great the residents who we met were lovely and friendly and it was peaceful and quiet. The pool was fab and clean but small so wouldn't fancy it in summer holidays and if you need buses the stops are right outside and over the road but could do with a crossing it was like playing chicken with traffic at times. I booked the best they had and the caravan was brilliant lovely done, warm, cosy, had everything we needed but was a bit disappointed we didn't have a veranda as we had 2 dogs ( 1 was a 13 wks old) so had to keep chasing her when she wondered off. The only things that could be better are fencing off the plots that dogs are allowed to stay at so they know they have boundary, arcade was a bit naff but they are doing alot of work to regenerate the park so hopefully that will improve and the shop was ok but could be bigger with larger selection other than that have no complaints and would recommend.
Evening entertainment for older children was poor. The amusement arcade was terrible, needs pool table air hockey table football and video games that work etc
