My family and I had a great time, I just wish ther was somewhere closer than Stranraer to buy basic supplies , and a maybe a small bar on the camp that allowed kids and parents to relax having a meal .

Lovely little site just above Glenluce. Caravans at front of site have beautiful views. Very quiet when there in early Oct, dog friendly. No shop/bar etc so take what you need although there is a shop in village with basics. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely area, great beaches for dog walks and children. Do visit Castle Logan and Glenwhan gardens while in the area even if you are not a gardener they make a great visit. Would go back.

the remote location of the park is it's main attraction. I only found 1 shop in Glenluce, a Keystore I think it was. So you would need a car to visit this park, to visit the nearby towns such as Kircudbright, Newton Stewart and Stranraer.

Caravan was clean although clearly needed some love and evidence of previous badly behaved dogs not hidden, maybe it was is but other vans on the site were better equipped and more modern but ours was clearly for dog owners and not of the same standard. Site tidy but along way from pubs and places to eat and all visitor attractions.

we booked this park for a lady who has a disability, she was supported by her care staff, The feedback we have had from the staff has not been very favourable. Although the park and surrounding areas were very scenic and picturesque, it is remote and you would probably need a car to get around, the poor availability of reception staff to help deal with queries was also less than helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at the park and Hopfully will be back again soon

The park is not on a beach or near a loch. You could walk to the next town Glenluce in 30 min.
No shop or restaurant on the site.
But the park is a quiet and very clean place.
We enjoyed or stay there.

We all had an excellent time with wonderful weather! The highlight of the lodge was definitely the hot tub!!!

No where to nip out to for an evening meal unless you want to travel for 15 miles to get there.

With its easy rolling hills and beautiful coastline, the lovely country in the far western reaches of the ancient district of Galloway is perfect for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers who choose our holiday parks in Wigtownshire. This is a landscape steeped in ancient religion and early Christianity – make time to visit the mystical Torhouse Bronze Age stone circle and the ‘Wren’s Egg’ standing stones near Monreith – easily accessible from our holiday parks in Wigtownshire. And the bay where the saint is said to have first set foot in Scotland is where you’ll find St Ninian’s Cave. The chapel dedicated to the saint lies in the Isle of Whithorn, a gorgeous little village lying at the southern tip of The Machars. No longer an island, it still boasts a very picturesque working harbour. But no caravan holidays in Wigtownshire would be complete without a trip to Wigtown itself. Known as Scotland’s Book Town, it is a paradise for book lovers, boasting around 20 bookshops including the largest secondhand bookstore in Scotland. And when you tire of the written word, head just south of town to the little village of Bladnoch for a wee dram of single malt – there’s been a distillery here since 1817.
