Food awful........cold beans dished up. Bar service ignored quite a few times. Entertainment
I stayed here with my boyfriend in June. The staff were very friendly and we had a fantastic time. It is in a great location and plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding areas. We cant wait to revisit!
I wasn't informed that booking in wasn't till after 3 pm the place hadn't been cleaned properly
we were mostly on de road, we didn't see much of the park
Really excellent, superb caravan and lovely location.
We had a fantastic weekend at Winchelsea Sands, I took my 2 children and they absolutely loved it! The entertainment for the kids was balanced just right with entertainment for the adults (bingo etc). Can't wait to go back.
All in all a good holiday. Have stayed here before and it has always been fine. The same recurring complaint though is the one of a serious lack of parking in peak seasons, and it is a shame to see the site has done nothing to address this issue. It was so bad this time that it might be the only factor putting me off holidaying there again. Apart from this, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the caravan excellent, and the location is great - very handy to so many attractions and beaches.
handy for local towns and hastings bigggerthan i thought
The caravan was nice and even better when the park staff showed us where the heaters were in the bedrooms. The staff could not have been more helpful and the entertainment staff were brilliant. The onsite breakfast was ok but not very big a little disappointing the pizza however that I had one evening was beautiful and Hugh great value for money.
The only thing I would say is staff could have considered which caravan to put us in more carefully. There was work going on outside our caravan from early each morning which woke us all up this was a little bit of a downer as you go on holiday for a bit of a sleep in. BUT I would like to say I would stay there again a great holiday had by us all made better by the attentive entertainment staff. Thank you all.
Very nice caravan, brand new ,warm and comfortable.but outside the van it was a building site as new paths were being made, so dumpers and mini diggers were working just inches, yes inches from the van we were in.Spoil being taken away chewed up the grass right outside the van and the car park was a real mess, this made our holiday stay uncomfortable. Why was this work done in the opening season?
We had to cut our holiday short as my father was taken very sick. However the 4 days we were there were quiet and relaxed
We would love to return in the future
We have stayed at Winchelsea several times over the last few years, mainly for mini-bre aks and I must say although we enjoyed our break and the staff were polite,we did have quite a bit of trouble upon reaching the site this time.Normally as stated,we can get into our caravan at around 4pm,but although Friday 13th March ( our 1st day ) was winchelseas first day of being open to the public, for some strange reason none of us could get the keys to get in until getting on for 5pm !Surely everything should have been up and running on this 1st day of opening,if not early, then at least on time..many people were starting to get extremely irate by this matter and it did not make for a good start to the break! Another thing I feel needs mentioning is something I have written about before when doing these feedbacks re.Winchelsea..although as I said before,we enjoy the place and location in general, myself and other people around us were saying that a few concreted pathways inbetween the caravans would be most helpful, especially in the wet weather, not only to stop our shoes getting covered in grass and mud whilst walking to and fro,but also to keep the caravans much cleaner in general..anyway apart from those 2 gripes,we still had a lovely break and have no complaints regarding the staff ,who were always polite and cheerful.
net curtains would be helpful and carpet on lounge floor would help, to feel warmer
it was not a bad caravan ,and we knew it was privately owned but
there was mould on door and window curtains
Nice location for us as dog owners
