Real reviews, from customers like you.
The setting was lovely and the staff where helpful, the hot tub issue was quickly resolved however only partly, as they only fixed one of the broken bulbs.
Very nice place just to get away from it all
It was in a beautiful location, would be lovely if there was a children's park more nearer to the lodges..
Felt let down as hot tub had problems with filter's
Fantastic Stay - Lodge was first class - Very little Wifi which was ok for me but not for kids!!!!!! They had to talk to their parents!!!
Would definitely recommend and return!!!
A relaxing break. Not spoilt by minor problems, but these should not have occurred.
We left a day early as the beds were so uncomfortable. We realised we left a Penguin body warmer and a Lacoste winter hat, it's been taken and apparently not where I know it was left! Not happy about this.
Quite relaxing, we are getting on so could not enjoy the facilities as we would have liked.
I felt the staff could have fixed the back door properly as it wouldn't lock then the rest of the week we had to use force to get the door locked whwhichasnt easy but this is no or problems the week away was great and staff very friendly
We chose this location because the park which is only 15 mins from us didn't have availability with a hot tub, and as this was for my 30th birthday, we wanted a bit of luxury!
Unfortunately, upon arrival we were told our lodges hot tub was not working and so we would be getting an engineer visit the next morning. As compensation we were offered a free meal at the club house.
We didn't have a working hot tub until about 11am( we had to go and ask at reception twice before the engineer returned- as we had been asleep at 8am and he hadn't wanted to wake us) and then we had to wait for about 2 hours until the tub had heated up enough for us to go in.
The park warden was very attentive after our second visit, and very apologetic- and we did get our free meal as promised on the sunday, which was a 3 course carvery with wine- very nice.
The lodge was stunning, we couldn't fault it- but we we're disappointed about the hot tub, as we travelled just over an hour and would've liked use age- at least the next morning.
Overall it was excellent. The Staff could not tell us where the rubish bags went so we had to leave them outside the lodge.
Absolutely loved it best holiday ive had in this country absolutely beautiful
Location was great. We had a problem with the oven as the markings on the oven dial had been worn off making it a nightmare to know wether you were on the oven or grill we burn 2 evening meals due to it. On our last night the electrics went off so we had no heating couldn't use the hot tub and no light's we rang the emergency number for the maintenance man but it kept going on to the answering machine so we were in bed for nine not great on your last night we still didn't have it back on when we left at 11 the following morning and yes my husband did go outside to the electric box as something had tripped but it only lasted around 5 minutes and it went off again.
It felt like we were in residential lodges as it appeared a lot of the lodges were privately owned. Someone was mowing the grass and another lodge had a washing line behind it, didn't feel like being on holiday. Took 3 days and 3 times of asking for staff to come and fix light in hot tub and 2 days to bring cutlery that was missing on arrival. Staff could not tell us where the nearest walk was and could not recommend any pubs to eat at.
Loved that the lodges were not too close together
